Saffron Lane Athletics Stadium

I take the wife up here every week for her dance classes, the entrance is a right state and the track and green drastically need a revamp, having said that I imagine it gets well used via the community

Full of potential but the place looks abandoned. A recent fire in the front row didn't help but the facilities would have been a mess anyway. Went their 20 years ago and it's not been looked after at all. Another example of the local council letting the city down!

I train at saffron athletics stadium, and it is a very lively place. The coaches at saffron ac are very niceand they do multiple events. It is a very nice track

Review for car park for event @ the cricket ground. Wheelchair user & carer. Ground uneven & too far away if mobility issues. Wouldn't use again.

Car Park review since this was the recommended parking for King Power football (England Women).We ended up parking here rather than the NCP Welford Rd as it's closer but we massively regretted it.At arrival it was organised, stewards everywhere, cones keeping people in line etc. But at leaving time, it's absolute chaos. Stewards seem to have thought better of it and scarpered. The few left were just stood there like lemons. Tempers were frayed, as everyone was trying to force from about 12 lanes into one. It took us the best part of an hour just to get out of the car park onto the main road.If you are coming here for a large event and value your sanity I would not recommend parking here.

Went to see my daughter race absolutely no parking had to sit in my car boiling to death completely missing the event. I never managed to park at all. Avoid parking here try find other alternatives that are close by totally ridiculous.

It's really saddening to see this place be left in a state of disrepair. The council doesn't care for this track anymore and won't stand for repairing it anytime soon, especially since they probably want to pull it up for houses. I have had one or two run-ins with a very rude and disrespectful member of staff one Saturday, but that's not an issue. On a more joyful note, I love training here, and it is always a friendly and warm environment where I feel comfortable training with my group. I definitely would recommend joining an athletics club that trains here if you are interested in athletics and being with a nice group of coaches and athletes. (Join Saffron ac today).

OK, track. The place is a bit run down and needs repairs. There is a female member of staff that thinks she owns the place and speaks to people like dirt! Once you ignore her and get on with what you came for, then it's all good.

Good atmosphere for the school athletics.Nice little tuck shop, clean toilets, plenty of parking on site. Didn't meet many staff cuz they were all buzzy, they were on the ball,
