Overall very disappointed with our visit. Nine of us all having three courses and lots of drinks, and after less than three hours we were asked to leave as they needed the table for more guests. We were even waiting for drinks when we were asked to leave, terrible service. The Sunday menu doesn't cater for vegans other than one dessert. Had the nachos to start without cheese and sour cream but still charged the full price. Wish we had gone somewhere else.

Lovely food! And I love the atmosphere there! It has a beautiful outdoor seating area looks very inviting when you arrive. The menu is very good.

Usually love this place. Great to take the dogs and really nice food. What we really love is the vibe. Really disappointed this evening. We tried the new Alpine Cheese Fondue board. Expected what I’d seen on Facebook posts but the dunkables were really poor. Cheap tomatoes, undercooked potatoes, dry carrots, small sausage cut into bits and raw broccoli. Hoping it’s a one off but for £50 to share, very disappointed. Hopefully it’s just early in the season and they’ll upgrade to quality ingredients which would make it a fab dish!

Meet up of dispersed family for a car swap. An outstanding place to meet up when party contains a dog. Great facilities, great welcome. Meal very good and not rushed. Out side a little noisy with main road over the back.

We did not use the hotel. Beautiful and well decorated bar for the festive season. Great welcome and service. Food was excellent. Well done to you all made us feel very welcome. Plan to visit again.

Visited for a meal as we have been here several times before.I can't comment on the rooms as I didn't stay, but the food has gone downhill in our opinion.I had the Nachos to start bland and tasteless even with the chilli.The mushrooms were nice on the bread.But the main meals were poor, to be honest I can't believe they were cooked from fresh, The meals were watery like they had been warmed up from frozenFrozen chips and watery curry served with a shop bought naanThe prawn linguine looked very reminiscent of a tesco version we've had recently, too.Having eaten here before I know how good the food can be. So I was very disappointed in its quality on this visit.The one small blonde staff member was very nice and friendly.The tall, slim blonde girl appeared to be in a rush to get people out and very hyper.The young boy behind the bar was friendly and the supervisor/manageress (May I note, not the usual owner and staff) telling really bad jokes about every course she was serving.Please get back to your usual high standards, as there are many other restaurants in your area that are after your crown

Had a lovely night here at a family wedding celebration. Gorgeous setting & grounds. Got a little lost finding it but that was my fault! Traditional old style pub that seems very popular. The ‘rustic buffet’ was plentiful & excellent! Great assortment of food and especially loved the warm Brie with blueberries! ❤️ lots of differing rooms & places to sit outside. Roman was fab & saw to our needs. Rooms very comfy. Highly recommend. The road noise didn’t bother us but some thought it distracting.

Another glorious meal at this gem of a pub. Fillet steak and chocolate brownie fudge cake, washed down with delicious Butty Bach. My god it was good. My wife was equally enamoured of her, admittedly less decadent, pan fried salmon. Roll me home!

Looking for a dog friendly place in Usk to stay and the Greyhound Inn fitted the bill perfectly. Situated a mile or two from Usk this hotel was perfect. In the winter months there is an Alpine theme which was lovely. The staff were fantastic and nothing too much trouble. Food was supurb and the fact you can order a doggy sausage at breakfast sold it. Highly recommended.

What an interesting place! Not sure what this place is meant to be, is it a pub, is it a German Alpine Resteraunt, is it a santas grotto! The fact the staff have to dress in German Fancy dres and leiderhausen is very odd!!!! The decor is bizarre, having said that the staff are wonderful, go above and beyond in every way. Even giving us a lift home at the end of the night. Food was good. What a lovely interesting place...thanks for a lovely night
