The Falcon Inn
Stayed one night at the Falcon Inn and had dinner and breakfast at the pub. The room was beautiful and presented to a high standard. All meals were served quickly and tasted delicious. The hotel is at a great location and has good parking. We enjoyed our time here.

The Falcon Inn
We went for dinner at The Falcon Inn after reading the reviews and we were not overly impressed. The food was variable; the pie was excellent but the fish dish was very dry, it certainly could have been improved with a sauce. The side order of dauphinoise potatoes were as dry as cardboard. The deserts, however, were very nice. Overall, the quantity and quality food did not justify the price tag.

Went to the Falcon to celebrate a birthday. On arrival the atmosphere was good. There were no non alcoholic beverages other than soda which was very disappointing considering this is a country pub. The food choices were poor and only one item on the specials board. The food itself was also very disappointing. I had a burger which I didn't think could be ruined but they managed it by making it over complicated and the flavours being over powered by the strong cheddar cheese. We did not have a pudding as we thought they were over priced. Bowl of icecream £10. All in all over priced mediocre food.

We stayed five nights at the Falcon Inn and really enjoyed it. Room was bright and spacious - definitely worth upgrading to the junior suite. Food and staff at the Inn were both excellent and the location gives you good access to the Cotswolds.

Served us rotten, moldy figs with the carpaccio, which was also cooked roast beef and not actual carpaccio which is supposed to be raw and thin. The steak cut was not flat iron but probably bavette. When we complained and sent food back, the servers just stopped coming to our table probably ashamed. Not a single word of apology. Just sent us the bill.

Terrible experience, country pub serving no zero alcohol is inexcusable!! Are they encouraging drink driving!! As the car park was full!! The food was very basic as well. Definitely won't be rushing back.

We had a great dinner. The waiting staff were helpful snd attentive. We didn't like a beer that we chose and the staff changed it for another with no problem. The food was very good (one veggie).

My fiancé & I visited Painswick on a whim and ended up at The Falcon Inn for dinner. Incredible service & the food was impeccable. Great atmosphere for a Tuesday night! We will be visiting again. Thank you!

Great room and breakfast included. It felt as though some of the staff were either highly stressed or doing roles they don't usually, competent but not considerate or welcoming. And the breakfast was nice to be included but sad to say my black pudding was badly burnt.Location is top notch, just have to put up with the church clock if you're in one of the road side rooms.Beautiful view of the churchyard

The most sublime food in a stylish setting for my birthday lunch. Our waitress was delightful and the food was just amazing. The perfect prawn and crayfish cocktail followed by steak pie, mash and broccoli with a tasting flight of British wines. Everything beautifully cooked and seasoned. Good meat-free choices too. We all loved it. Dog-friendly too.
