Xcel Driver Training

After being caught speeding, I was advised by my solicitor to attend a pre-court driver improvement course. Rachel came highly recommended, so I called her to book in.The whole process from booking, to attending was easy. I was slightly anxious before attending as I wasn’t sure what to expect, but Rachel put me at ease. I learnt a lot of tips and tricks for how to be a better road user. I feel more confident after my session that I can make some changes and be a better driver.I would recommend Rachel to anyone, I thoroughly enjoyed my session with her.

I have just completed a few weeks refreshing my driving skills with Xcel Driver Training and Melanie Clements. The experience has been fantastic as Melanie has been pleasant, helpful, patient and understanding all the way. I would highly recommend Melanie for either a beginner to driving or anyone wishing to refresh their driving skills. I know i will certainly miss my weekly drive but am more confident now in our car.

I had the amazing opportunity to have Steve mguire as my driving instructor he was recommended my some neighbours after I was struggling with a previous instructor steve was so patient and persistent with me as I am dyslexic and dyspraxic and thought I would really struggle with my driving especially my theory but Steve found ways of helping me to remember different rules, ways and road signs therefore I passed it first time thanks to his help!!!Right from the start Steve has taught me engine breaking and eco driving and what the examiner would be looking for so I got into the habit of doing them Every time I drove which I did, one thing I did persistently struggle with was keeping the car from going into the 31-33 in a 30 zone and he suggested using cruse control which Helped massively , I don’t have cruse control in my own car and I now have a black box which is something I was really worried about but learning to set the cc to the right speed helped me stay at the right speed without needing it !!For my practical Steve encouraged me to not go for my test untill I was 99.9% ready and we were both confident I would pass, after a long wait I finally got a cancellation and after many lessons in the same week which Steve prioritised for me I passed again first time !!! Thankyou so much Steve !!

ATTENTION!!!!!! If you really want to become an ADI Rachel is the lady to train with. I enquired about training just prior to Covid hitting and eventually met her 6 months later. I trained with her for all 3 parts to get my ADI Licence. Rachel has been there every step of the way, she has dragged me back from the depths of despair both through the training process, which due to Covid there were many and personally. I can not recommend her highly enough. I passed all 3 elements on my first attempt, i believe i owe this to Rachels in depth knowledge and support. Rachel passionately wants you to achieve and this shows through her training. With Rachel by your side you will become the very best version of yourself. Rachel has an amazing sense of humour and your training will be in no way boring!!! We have laughed and cried and i cant thank her enough for completely transforming my life! Rachel gave me confidence to believe in myself and i've been rewarded for that with my green badge!

I would highly recommend Rachel to anyone who is considering embarking on the journey of becoming a driving instructor, she is a highly experienced and dedicated professional who will go above and beyond to ensure you achieve success. I feel so lucky that I found her and the supportive team at Xcel Driver Training, as together they helped me pass the part 1, 2 and 3 ADI exams (first attempt) over a 6-month period.It has been a pleasure to be taught by Rachel who is so patient, encouraging and a real inspiration… she reminded me how you can truly achieve, when you believe in yourself.

I am 28 years old and have done years of stop/start driving lessons with multiple instructors! I came across many who were unreliable, inconsistent etc. However Steve was perfect for the job. He had patience and was extremely good at describing things to me. I used to get very bored doing lessons and nothing seemed to go in. Steve changed all that and had me passed first time with 3 minors in quite a short period of time! He is firm but fair and if you make any misjudgement or mistake he will break things down and explain the reasoning behind it. He made me feel comfortable at all times and he really knows his stuff. He is professional, honest and reliable and always made time to work round my schedule wherever he could. A really great instructor who has changed my life most definitely. I don’t think I could have done it without him.
