Despite growing up in the area and living close by for 25yrs, I only went in with my 2.5yr old daughter for the first time recently. As luck would have it, it was story time and we loved the animated and talented Barb sharing some lovely books with us: we spent another 40mins there without realising delving deep into their wonderful stock, guided and helped by the great staff. We will be back many times for sure, what a treasure!

One of those amazing little bookshops. I can always find a book for my son here or for a gift. Staff is super friendly and helpful. They also have a loyalty card so we can be gifted from time to time. Arranged story sections are also scheduled for the little ones. A great place to visit!

Gorgeous shop where staff answer to any questions you might have on books and advise on what to read based on interests and age. Also have lots of events where kids cam meet the authors .

A quaint little bookshop with many fun books for the kids. Some new and some old classics. We were lucky enough to go to a book signing in December for Julia Donaldson who wrote the Gruffalo books. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is welcoming. I'm so glad these kinds of shops still exist in todays world!

I wanted a book that had a positive story about a disabed child and they recommended this book which was newly published and perfect. What happened to you? by James Catchpole. It's so good to be able to go back into shops now and have a conversation about a book, and this is a great children's bookshop!
