What an amazing, friendly & professional service & experience. Jonny and the team made a love cappuccino with extra froth and chocolate sprinkle. The food was also superb. I have now been visiting Mackenzies for a number of years and look forward to every visit. airy, light and good ambience in spacious - and remarkably for the street - not over priced food and drink location with large outdoor area. Coffee a bit on the weak side, so make sure the barrista understands the difference between a latte and a flat white. otherwise an oasis in the street and one to go back to.

Really disappointed, went in on a quiet thursday to grab some lunch. It was very quite and we were one of two groups of people there. Initially we ordered drinks and couldn’t even get a glass of pineapple juice as they had none (what cocktail bar doesn’t have pineapple juice! On top of this they could have got some from co-op next door) After ordering our food we got told we couldn’t even have mac’n cheese as they didn’t have any. This clearly shows that they don’t make their food fresh as what kitchen doesn’t have cheese, butter, milk and pasta! I had to settle for bruschetta which was a very odd version of bruschetta as it was piled high with cheese and had pesto all over it. I didn’t enjoy the food I had, the lettuce that came with the sandwich look awful as it was all brown and on top of the list of food and drink they didn’t have service was very slow considering the place was pretty much empty. I’ve heard good reviews about this place so I was extremely disappointed by my experience.

Why advertise 2-4-1 DAILY if it's not really daily.I hate being conned.Got it in the end but really had to argue hard. When the 4 burgers arrived they were burnt to a cinder. Such a shame, spent thousands here over the years.Sadly, this place feels like they've just given up.I certainly have (on them).Won't be coming back again.I hate saying a last goodbye to a local business.

Came in for some drinks and food with a friend on quiet Tuesday. we ordered a bottle of Prosecco which was reasonably priced and the food was really lovely, unfortunately as often when I visit the service wasn’t the best, staff look like they’re dressed for a Sunday at home and our dirty plates sat on the table for hours despite multiple staff members walking past. Also witnessed who I assume was a member of the kitchen team drinking and then going behind the bar to get an other drink. Manager also looked like he was wearing dirty clothes and had his toes out. It’s a no from me. Place seems to be getting worse and worse.Shout out to the young lad that served us as he was the only one who had an actual shirt on and a smile on his face.Toilets are also covered in flies and smell awful.Wouldn’t recommend and won’t be back

Fantastic all round. We had Rachel behind the bar who was an absolute joy to have with us. Fantastic service. Food was great and we all had a great night.
