Avoid Practical Car and Van Rental in Croydon at all costs... They are thieves!... The staff I hired from is Shafquat... I hired a van from them in July 2022 and all went well...Fast forward to end of September, this company charged £142 to my card and claimed that it was for a PCN of £100 and admin fee of £42 without informing me in the first place.Bear in mind, I didn't even get a PCN whilst I had the van.I never got to see the Parking Charge Notice and even if one existed, I wasn't given an opportuntiy to appeal it...I called the office and the phone was hung up on me, after the staff said there was a pcn and they have paid for it...and have already charged my card without first informing me.I've never seen such blatant fraudulent behaviour in my life. DO NOT USE THESE CROOKS THAT ARE CHARGING PEOPLE'S CARD THREE MONTHS AFTER VAN HIRE.

Excellent service, my daughter and I dealt with Shefquat (not sure if my spelling of his name is correct) but he was extremely helpful and it was at a most difficult time for us all as it was over the fuel shortage weekend. I have dealt with a few hire companies but this companies support and service for the customer was outstanding. Thank You again

This is without question one of the most cost effective car hire firms out there. The car I hired was new, clean, reliable and half the price of the nearest competition. Unfortunately this means that their cars are usually out on hire, so book early. The office I was used based inside Hilton Hotel off Purley Way and their representative was very helpful.

DO NOT HIRE! Shafquat is an absolute fraud! Hired a van for 1 day and returned it in out of office hours. The following morning I received an email from Shafquat stating that he will be charging £465 for a very small chip, the damage which was apparently caused during my rental period. Unfortunately for Shafquat I had taken pictures for the van before my rental which showed the chip already present.When I hired the van the windscreen was not clean, however when Shafquat sent me the image of the chip he had gone out of his way to clean the windscreen and make the chip more visible - very cunning guy!I provided the evidence however he still debited my card with the full amount... when asked why his response was that I had caused the damage, despite me providing clear evidence.I wanted to complain asked for the number for the complaints department and his response was its a franchise

Great using the services that Shafquat provides. We have been working with him for the best part of 2 years and has always be pleasant and provided excellent customer service. Would hundred recommend to anyone.
