Hanbury Manor Golf Club

Visited here with 15 friends for a society day. The hotel was top notch, the food was soo good, the staff amazing. The golf course was in great condition. Would highly recommend.

Great Golf TreatThe course was in good conditions considering the time of year, a bit boggy in-between the holes but in general the fairways were well drained, the real treat were the greens, very receptive and rolled true. I will definitely be back in the summertime as the layout looked fantastic.

Great golf course and excellent facilities at Hanbury Manor

Love it . Had a great time the spa was fantastic and the food was delicious. The people that worked there were very helpful.

Very well kept course - worth a visit for any keek golfer and will suit all handicaps.Greens were immaculate and the course was in great condition. Generally a very enjoyable round.

It’s gorgeous here with a great challenging course

Stayed 1 night and had 2 rounds of golf .the hotel grounds are very big so be prepared for a lot of walking. The staff were all great and friendly. The rooms were in good condition everything clean and tidy. The golf course was in very good condition and a pleasure to play would recommend any group of golfers hanbury manor.

As a Professional golfer I was excited to play Hanbury Manor, having seen other reviews and pictures of the golf course. I was greatly disappointed in the layout, the course lacks any sort of memorable hole. Staff were pleasant and the manor itself is nice inside. Course is in decent shape but at a high price point I expected more.

Went for an overnight stay. Overall stay was nice - unfortunately we were in the Garden Court rooms which was about 5 mins walk from main building (bit of a pain walking to/from spa and restaurant!). The rooms we thought were also pretty dated. Shampoo/conditioner were not great, and no choice of herbal teas in rooms. Would have also been nice to have a bottle of water (even if in the mini fridge with option to pay).The spa was OK. Much better in the evening when it was quiet and no children (think there is definitely a need for a Family/Kids pool area as you couldn't really call the main pool area 'relaxing').Myself and partner both had full body massages - both really enjoyed, but sounds like we had different experiences (i.e. one of us was offered a choice of oils, one of us got a face mask, etc). Not a big issue but think consistency should be considered - either way a lovely massage. Unfortunately think the massage rooms need soundproofing as even with the music could still hear children shouting from the pool area which wasn't great.The spa pool(hot tub) was quite small so had to wait a while to get in.Cast Iron Grill food was lovely - had breakfast lunch and dinner and all great.Breakfast was a bit manic - quite busy and lots of children running around (some in barefoot too..) . Again just think there is a definite need for perhaps a family dining area as was not a relaxing environment for the couples/non-families.The lounge area is nice but drinks pretty pricey compared to other similar hotels/bars.Overall would probably not return in a rush - or maybe perhaps not on a weekend when its busier/lots of children.Nice for a one night spa stay regardless!
