Railway Station

Good park and ride facilities and less than 20 minutes makes this station a very handy place. No that car parking is becoming ever more expensive a cheap day return is less than a few hours on street parking (assuming you can find a space). Coupled with the ever increasing anti car attitude that many cities have using a local train off peak makes perfect sense.

Giffnock Train Station is quick hassle free way to travel either uptown or through to East Kilbride. Trains run regularly. Access to platform going East Kilbride is up stairs and over a bridge so not suitable for wheel chair users or anyone with difficulty climbing up and down stairs.Access can be made easier via May Terrace to that platform via the ramps.Giffnock Station is in middle of Giffnock close to all shops, bars and restaurants.
