The bells are loud and ringing for over an hour on Thursdays and Sundays. Can't spend a peaceful afternoon in our garden. It is disrespectful and quit unbearable.

Full of history. A grade II listed church which dates back to 1865. Some amazing local history and some magnificent graves. So worth a walk around. Can’t wait till Covid passes and we can go inside beautiful churches like this again.

As a wedding photographer it is my job to capture as many images and special moments as possible at a wedding. This was made very difficult if at all possible by the vicar at this Saturdays wedding, he made me feel like an outcast and I really struggled to get anything in the church. If your a vicar and you can't do your job without being distracted by a camera click ( i am never that close really ) then I really think you should learn! This is a couples special day and they want to look back in years to come with as many memories as possibleI was even told after the service ( in front of the bride & groom, how unprofessional was that, that I didn't even follow his rules and as for that any photographers now would suffer! )Christian fellowship? Didn't really see any in him as he treated me as something the cat dragged in. Far from happy and really hope I never have another wedding at this church ever!

So it is currently 20:55 the bells have been going since 19:30.I'm all for respect & faith but will you give it a rest, is there really any need to do this week in week out every Thursday.I want to be able to have my windows open in the summer and enjoy the sound of birds NOT have to close them or turn tv up so my deaf ears can hear it .....There is no need for it to continue this long and when coming to the end to rapidly play the same 4 bells over and over till 20:59.....Roll on 9:30am Sunday morning for the next lot of noise from the bells

While I deeply value our traditions and the significance of the church bells, I must highlight the discomfort experienced by residents when the bells ring for extended periods, only to cease abruptly, often leaving the ringing sensation in our ears for quite some time afterward.Undoubtedly, the church bells are a cherished symbol of our faith and community, and they serve as a poignant reminder of significant events and services. However, the lengthy periods during which the bells ring, coupled with their loud volume, can be distressing for those living in close proximity to the church. This prolonged disturbance not only disrupts the tranquility of our neighborhood but also leaves a lasting auditory impression even after the bells have stopped. My intention in writing to you is not to diminish the importance of our cherished traditions but rather to request that we find a way to strike a balance between preserving these traditions and being considerate of our neighbors. Specifically, I would like to propose that we explore the possibility of adjusting the bell-ringing schedule to limit the duration of ringing during hours when many residents are seeking rest or engaging in quiet activities.
