Fantastic opticians. I’ve worn glasses for 17 years and up until now have always gone high street. I chose independent because I wanted to go somewhere where I felt they would take better time and care. Wendy was my optician and she’s fantastic! Was made to feel at ease straight away, very knowledgeable! I chose to go for contacts and the staff have been a great help at explaining everything making sure I’ve made a comfortable and informed decision. Would highly recommend

What can I say ? The best optician this area by any measure.Great service, friendly staff who work really hard to make sure everything is perfect.Nice comfortable surroundings and you never feel rushed or hurried into a decision. A good range of modern glasses frames and great advice on contact lenses.Recommended by a colleague over 20 years ago and I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I highly recommend Mcphesons for absolutely everything eye-related. They use the latest technology, and they are always up to date with anything new going on in the field. Malcolm is a great professional. He always takes time to explain what is going on with your eyes, and he always gives great advice and extra information. The customer service is always excellent, very professional, and attentive to your needs.It's the second pair of glasses I make with them and thanks to Gwen I couldn't be happier. She helped me to find something suitable even if I didn't have a lot of frames to choose from due to my condition. She went extra mile ordering more frames for me just to give me a chance to find something that I really liked. I was also pleasantly surprised to discover that buying my specs from them had an additional perk: I have received an unlimited complimentary refill lens cleaner bottle and believe me it's absolutely great!! I already refill my bottle twice, and it doesn't seem real.. such a great service!!Considering the time we are living in, I would like to add that I felt very safe in the practice during this ongoing pandemic, lots of measures have been taken and every single member of staff is truly committed to them. They definitely are the truly best in Aberdeen and it feels good to support a family run local business!

Wow...this place has really good technology and up to date with good latest products. The customer service is excellent and the place is comfortable and spacious. In the waiting lounge you get to sit and relax with a cup of coffee or tea (self service machine) and there are some toys to keep little kids entertained. The optician was really patient and explained everything needed. Highly recommend this place.

I needed to check my eyesight, as I was a few weeks ealier at the different Optitians who gave mme incorrect glasses, I couldn't use them and needed second opinion. I came to McPhersons,been correctly tested and got my new glasses now with correct lenses! Can't thank enought for Lucy who was amazing g in doing her Job and gave me peace of mind. Glasses are corrected now vision is amazing. Thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️. Will definitely recommend McPhersons and I will be back when I will need a new glasses xx

McPherson is a great optometrists. They're a local, family run business, which comes across in how much they care for their patients.The practice is really handily located in the City Centre. The team are fantastic - everyone you come across is friendly and puts you at ease.Their range of glasses is brilliant, with lots of classic options and options for if you're feeling more adventurous. The team are on hand to help you out with choosing (if like me you're not certain on what suits you and need a bit of reassurance!)

Sophie is the best!I broke my glasses, called and was advised to come the same hour, saw Sophie and she fixed my broken glasses free of charge!Absolutely fantastic service, will definitely recommend.

After getting my prescription for new glasses, a sales team member declined to accept to place the new prescribed lenses into my existing RayBan frame (that was in pretty good condition). She simply dismissed them without explaining/giving evidence why my frames would not fit that purpose. She tried to push me to buy new frames, and convince me I would need whole new glasses. I didn't like the idea to be persuaded to spend more for getting new frames when I was not sure if I would actually need this. This led me to get a second opinion from a common franchise optician, where I found out: a) my prescription was wrong (unnecessarily stronger for myopia and astigmatism I don't have yet); b) new glasses could be made by keeping my existing Rayban frames. I understand wrong prescriptions often occur, regardless of the optician, but a more flexible approach from the sales team and a tailored approach based on customers' needs would have avoided all this.

Been a patient here for many many years. Malcolm has always provided excellent care to both to myself & my family. Have also received prompt and efficient emergency care when required. This has included accurate diagnosis & prompt, same day referral to specialist hospital ophthalmologists. I would have no hesitation in recommending this practise to anyone who is seeking expert eye care from skilled practitioners who use modern state of the art diagnostic technology. Been going to high street opticians for years, who failed to identify the issue. I attended mr mcpherson who identified the problem and got me the care needed.
