Newton-le-Willows Recycling Centre
Queued up for over an hour both sat and sunday. Traffic lights on the bridge brings the road to a standstill. Especially when a HGV is there. Extra waiting time when changing skips around. Very small for the town. Which is growing so it needs making bigger.

Turned up at 8.20 on a Sunday morning. Joined a 25 car queue. Did not move ONE inch until I gave up and turned round 30 minutes later. An absolute joke. I appreciate it is lockdown but there is no excuse for not letting anyone move in 30 minutes.

Everytime you come here -doesnt matter what time or what day) they are moving the bins around meaning shut for 30mins or more. Easiest job in the world working here, only open half (if that) the time it should be.

Not a massive site and they dont take some things like paint so you have to go to a bigger one but good overall and staff seem happy to help

Everytime I come here they are moving bins around. Why not sort out the night before? One driving the JCB and 4 staff stuff around chatting.

Newton-le-Willows Recycling Centre
There was a bit of a wait to get in yesterday as the large skips were getting emptied and the entrance was closed. When we did get in it was very busy and everyone was doing their best to recycle. The men were on hand directing everyone to the right recycle point. It was great to see that there wasn't much going into general waste. The site was very clean, there's not much that can't be recycled here.

This is a well run and executed site. Staff are friendly and approachable. When you need a hand they are more than helpful.Many people are giving 1 star because they had to wait 30 mins for them to move the trailers round.Think if this, if you had to move hundreds of tonnes around your not going to do that quickly.I've had to wait and yes 30 mins seems like a long time but in St Helens and they have to wait longer.

Usually tidy , men used to be more helpful before the pandemic. It is hard if you disabled and on crutches like me, to reach into skips.
