Wonderful natural harbour with exceptional views across the Highlands. Good base for exploring the extensive loch network. Useful train connections to Inverness and Skye bridge at Kyle of Lochalsh. Live music at the Plockton Inn was a gem.

Plockton Main Pier
Plockton is one of my favourite Scottish villages. Set in a pretty bay, a few white houses seeming to float on the loch, a few palm trees, and an old castle on the hill.
