M&S Food To Go

This is a shop within Rotherham hospital and I went in there yesterday and could not believe the high prices on items for sale so I eagerly tell you there is another shop just down the hall and is a lot cheaper and you will get more for your money than in this establishment.In my opinion, a shop within a hospital should be discounted as it is a hospital at the end of the day it needs to be addressed they are ripping off the people who are either in a hospital or visiting the hospital

I hate that shops in hospitals are more expensive than regular shops. I feel it takes advantage of poorly people in hospital who dont want the hospital food but have little other choice. I spent a fortune, reluctantly, while in hospital waiting for my daughter to be born.

Gave it only 4 stars because of the higher than average prices (captive audience and all that I suppose), because it is undoubtedly a little gold mine, with staff and visitors galore. They would probably sell a lot more and have local people shopping there if the prices were more realistic. (Ready meals worth it at 2 for £6 though, the Italian range are delicious.) Nice selection of hot and cold food though, and sometimes handy for pyjama sets too. I don't like that there was only self-serve till available. Some of us need human contact, and are sick of being treated like we are on other people's pay roll after we have done our own full-time jobs.

Good selection not cheap though. Better than the hospital food though.

Glad I don't shop here regularly, hate the fact that it is all self service. Feel for people that cannot work these tills, though there is staff to help. I avoid if I'm on my own.

I've given 4 stars because it's very expensive in there, apart from prices the food looks really tasty. The sandwiches are full as opposed to other places, my son wanted 3 value orange juice cartons, so we got them these are usually around 79p-£1 everywhere else, here in M&S they're £2, way overpriced for something that'll last him all of 5 seconds, even their carrier bags are 25p instead of approx 10p like elsewhere, but fair enough they are strong ones and can reuse without splitting so am not complaining.I have to say when people say M&S is posh food I have to disagree, it's not, it's just the same as everywhere else, what you will find different is, is that it's more organic, more in the quantity alot of the time, ie the fillings etc.This is the first time I've been in an M&S food to Go and M&S for a number of years, I've no idea if they do a fresh value range like they do with the small cartons of orange juice, if not maybe they should in this present climate, if they do they need to make it known more publicly, more people may go in and try the range.

Prepacked Sandwiches were lovely with filling all the way through not just the areas on show. I felt like an idiot as I couldn't work the coffee machine, the staff was so helpful and made sure I got the drink I wanted and assisted me with the self checkout all without making me feel foolish or embarrassed so a big thank you to the gentleman on duty

They are promoting their coffee offering at the moment. Don't bother. Go Costa instead. I have black Americano which needs cold water in it otherwise it would scald.Sorry we're not allowed" was the response.I can see the sink from here. Probably should have leant over rather than asking."
