We come here every year to camp. Unfortunately as the price has risen for the camping the standards of the facilities have not. The toilets have no lighting at all and most of the locks are broken on the doors. The showers are dirty and not looked after at all. This is a shame as the price is quite high for such poor facilities.

I camped there with my school - it was amazing. A beautiful forest and very helpful staff - this is perfect for nature trips. The campsites are huge with reasonably-sized tents, two big shelters and big field for the campers to play in. There is lots of woodland and it is perfect for nature walks. You could have bat walks there as well - you will be able to borrow bat detectors.Even though there is bad points (such as the shower only being on for about a minute then you have to turn it on again, lots of thistles, brambles and sticking nettles etc) Whitwell Hall Country Centre is an excellent place to go and I recommend it.

So our friends have been coming here every year for the past 10 years. We finally were around to join them and we had a blast. It is no frills which is what you want from a campsite. Everything is there to keep yourself on the side of civilised with showers, toilets and fridges. The kids had a blast and we also had amazing weather. Loads to do and see in the local area and the beautiful Norfolk countryside for walks (for transparency I was born in Norfolk).Make sure you pack some warm clothes as the nights were cold with the wind.Nearby is the Whitwell steam train museum for drinks, coffee and ice cream as well.

Excellent place.. Beautiful old house with plenty of space for all sorts of uses, fantastic mixed habitat in the grounds for nature lovers and very helpful staff! Highly recommended.

What a fantastic camp site at Whitwell Hall. The staff are so amazing and can’t do enough for you especially Paula nothing is too much trouble. It was comforting that they also take the government restrictions around Covid 19 very seriously too and had a number of measures in place already on arrival.Great break and countryside a fantastic retreat from everyday life. We stayed 4days and didn’t want to leave.Highly recommendedZoe Gabriele

An absolutely outstanding activity centre set in beautiful grounds where children can truly explore to their hearts content. The value for money is outstanding for the activities they offer and the instructors are all really enthusiastic and fantastic with kids. I’ve been in youth work for over 20 years and I think this might be the best youth/activity centre i’ve seen for the price/activity/instructor combo. If you haven’t taken your school or youth group here yet then you really should.

We visited the venue for a friends big birthday. It was a very large space and relatively well kept. Very country chic. The one criticism I would offer is that it us not very clean in places and also there is not adequate parking for the size of the venue and also it is not very easy to find off the main road. Better signage would go a long way to making sure visitors find the venue.
