I really loved the visit here - I missed out on my school visit! - It is an educational establishment and popular with scout groups. There is lots of information and plenty of interactive exhibits - great for families

We only drove here to use the cafe it is recommended in our Sawdays book the Extra MileI can recommend the cafe and the lovely shopCoffee was really good and everything sold in the cafe is sourced locally from the milk to the pies and pasties which are from HM pasties made by ex offendersIt has a lovely ootsude seating area overlooking the telescope and at the moment the weather is glorious so the perfect place to sitThe car park is £4 and you don't need to pay for entrance to the telescope to use the cafe or facilities

Excellent visitor centre, excellent exhibitions and telescope tour. Make sure you call ahead to reserve wheelchair if needed, very knowledgeable and helpful staff, lovely cafe.

A beautiful UNESCO World Heritage site, science brought to life by knowledgeable and friendly staff. The new building, The First Light Pavilion, is really impressive.

Very interesting and it would have been delightful to have wandered around the gardens on a warmer day! A criticism is that the only guided tour of the day takes place after 3.00pm. This was a long wait for my 11 year old grandson; he felt thoroughly chilled (and so he lost interest) despite the hot drinking chocolate we bought in the café.

Great café with a breakfast and lunch menu, good selection of cakes and nice coffee. You don't need to pay an entry fee to use the cafe either.
