As a teenager I spent long days on the grounds and gardens of Boom Hall, and the banks of the River Foyle. It had always been a gathering place for locals especially teenagers, but the house itself was unsafe and could only imagine what a wonderful environment it once was to grow up in. Today I still take walks within sight of the estate, unfortunately most of it is out of bounds and would love to see it restored to some of its former glory and remain part of the history of Derry that could be seen and visited more often by the locals and visitors alike.

Love walking up around here especially in the summer, really lovely. The old buildings and area is kind of spooky.

Beautiful site in a beautiful location with good walks. From thr Bay Road Nature Reserve, it is a hilly walk, but very enjoyable as it weaves under the Foyle Bridge.

Nice walk along the foyle and upto Boom Hall. Could be better kept as litter seems to be allowed to build up in a couple areas.
