Hilton Garden Inn Abingdon Oxford
The room was good value. Be aware that you will be charged £10 a day for parking ( this is a new fee introduced recently). Breakfast was fabulous and good value. Opposite the hotel you can catch the x2 bus for £2.00 and it will take you into the centre of Oxford. This is well worth it as Oxford Centre is difficult for cars to navigate. Staff at the hotel were very helpful.

Spent 3 nights here and it was fantastic the king room was immaculate, the food was really good and the staff were attentive. It was a busy weekend but the staff always had a smile and seemed to have time to help.If one thing could have been improved the breakfast buffet could have been kept better stocked at times.

I have stayed at this hotel previously, and the parking was busy, but free. On my most recent stay I was surprised that there is now a modest fee. I dutifully paid.So I was very much surprised that I received a traffic violation fee from the company that enforces the parking. What a complete joke.I will not be staying here again.

Beware of parking. I have stayed in this hotel several time for business. It is a fantastic hotel, with nice facilites and friendly staff.They have recently appointed a third party to manage the car park. Upon arrival, you must input your registration to the tablet on the reception desk. I advise people to take a photograph of this, as there is a chance you will get a fine in the post some weeks later just as I did.What is unfortunate is that the hotel advise they cannot do anything as it is all managed by third party company (ParkingEye).I have since appealed the 100 pound fine, which has been rejected despite providing evidence of hotel stay. I have now started the process of appealing this again, which is a complete waste of my time.As you can see, this is not the first parking related review here. For this reason, I will likely not be staying in HGI again.

I’ve just had a 6 night stay with work and this has been a fantastic stay.The hotel is well equipped with a decent gym, washing facilities and close to local shops.Secure parking with ANPR cameras.Breakfast was all fresh and included an amazing range of fresh GF food.Dinner menu was surprisingly good with all fresh ingredients and tasty food that didn’t even need to be seasoned!All staff were a credit to the company!

I've stayed here before, but a good few years ago.I spent three nights here and ate in the hotel restaurant each night, and breakfast each morning.I have to say the service was extremely good, the attentiveness and politeness of the staff was some of the best I've experienced in a UK based hotel. This was true of the reception staff as well as the restaurant and bar staff.Special mentions to Finley and Sydney who each exhibited a superb level of customer service.Rooms were nice and clean.I will definitely look to stay here again.

Booked my overnight stay through secret escapes, tried to contact the hotel a few days before and could only speak to a call centre who couldn’t find my booking even though I had provided my reference number. Arrived to the hotel on the evening, they were unable to find my reservation too. The hotel wasn’t as described and the rooms were very small, despite it being a clean environment we decided we didn’t want to check in and stay as planned. We were advised we would receive a refund and told we didn’t need any confirmation of this as she would sort it - at the time she was stood next to the hotel manager Jamie. Unfortunately we were lied to as we’re now being refused a refund? How can you refuse our money back for a hotel we did not stay in or use your facilities. On top of that the hotel isn’t as described and you lie to your customers. That isn’t what I would describe as customer service. The staff are rude and extremely blunt, answering phone calls in mid of your conversations. Very dissatisfied.
