Please beware of this care home. I am in the process of making a complaint of neglect to the Safeguarding team as my father has been treated appallingly here.The current 'manager' Matthew, is bereft of ANY people skills; he lacks empathy and behaves like a spoilt brat when issues and problems are pointed out to him. He should NOT be ANYWHERE near vulnerable individuals with complex needs.The place also needs a deep clean; it often stinks of urine and is just a really miserable place to be.There are next to NO activities for residents - most of them are simply left in front of the television and not many of the carers (Ashleigh is fantastic by the way) seem to be properly trained to look after dementia/Alzheimer's sufferers.I would urge everyone to read the reports on this place before even thinking about leaving a loved one here.We have since moved my father and the difference in his behaviour is vast. You have been warned.

We cannot thank Pen-Y-Bryn enough for everything they have done for my Mum and my family. We were so thankful they were able to take new residents in 2020, when my Dad passed away. In all that time, the care staff have been incredible and gone above and beyond to care for my Mum, who sadly passed away a few weeks ago. The staff are so accommodating and I never had any concerns about Mum's wellbeing and her best interests were always their priority. They work so closely with the doctors and district nurses to ensure the residents are well cared for. The carers will never know how much we appreciated their thoughtfulness and hard work and I dread to think where we would have been without them. Thank you to everyone.

Too many reasons to list but please don't put any of your loved ones in this carehome.

Wonderful care home, my father stayed here for a number of years and was very happy. The staff and management are lovely and nothing is ever too much trouble, you can tell that they genuinely care for the residents in their home. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this care home to anyone
