The Rainbow Fish Bar
Tried tonight after not being in 3 thought it may have changed.. Chewy fish and chips could hardly cut the batter it was that stale yet the middle was a soggy mess with dry fish in all it tasted about 2 days old!! Very disappointed cut down your menus size and focus on what needs improving..

Good Lord above. Where to start.. Some of the worst fish and chips I've ever tasted. Imagine every quality that makes this iconic British dish great... this was the opposite of that. Anaemic barely cooked chips with soggy battered cod, served barely warm with insufficient salt. Nasty odd tasting battered sausage. Service without a smile. Truly an abortion of a chippy. The only thing it had going for it was that it was open when all the others were shut. The Rainbow fish bar has been the final nail in the coffin for me living in Faringdon. It was the kick I needed to do something with my life. I'm now looking to relocate to Whitby, where fish and chips are done properly. And for this at least, I thank you, Rainbow fish bar.

Lovely little family run place. Their pizza is quite frankly some of the best take away pizza I've had. It's gotten to the point where my fat self ends up ordering 2 pizzas each time, pepperoni and Hawaiian. Eat two slices at once like a sandwich for the perfect union of salty, sweet greasy amazingness. Also they've got the old Pukka pie ads on the walls, love em.

We Only had chips to go with our Chinese, as we only like traditional chips from a chip shop, glad we did after reading the reviews on here, otherwise it may have been a 1 star. Most of the chips whent in the bin, just didn't taste right.

Never ordering from here again! Only done it because my partner was ordering a curry and I didn’t want to walk to get fish and chips.Ended up with food poisoning! I didn’t even eat half the meal I had, made me feel sick instantly, chips were horrible and chicken burger wasn’t much better.

The low average is really undeserved, it’s good food at a reasonable price nowadays, and thanks to the reviews in some part I imagine, very fast delivery.

The Rainbow Fish Bar
Decided to give this place a go after reading all the reviews, and was pleasantly surprised. Like many here, I agree the pizza was absolutely delish - quite possibly the best takeaway pizza we've had! I also ordered a doner meat and chips and was shocked by how generous the portion was. Can't speak for the fish, but the chips were crisp and lovely. This will be my go-to takeaway while in Faringdon. If you're on the fence, give it a go for sure.

Chips were not cooked properly but fish was okay and other items, they said they receive a lot of complaints when we were talking with them whilst waiting, maybe they should act on those complaints and resolve the issues, but friendly staff, couldn’t help us enough…
