Haven Boarding Kennels & Cattery - Kennels & Cattery Ashford

We were very apprehensive about leaving Frankie as he had never been in kennels for a week. Rich made us feel completely at ease when we went to look around, & Frankie was a happy boy when we collected him after his stay. It was obvious to us that he had been very well cared for.

Having looked at a few Kennels and starting to worry we might not find one we felt comfortable with...Ritchie made us feel worried our dog might not actually want to come home with us after his stay at Haven Boarding Kennels and Cattery! It was a relief to meet someone who we instantly felt would look after our dog as well as one of our friends or family would. Thank you so much for looking after Hugo! Highly recommended!

We recently started using Haven kennels for our rescue GSD Harry, very happy with the care he has received from the kennel staff. We were somewhat worried and anxious about leaving him the first time but he always comes home super happy. We could see that he had made good friends with the staff that brought him back to us at collection time and he even gets excited when he knows he's arrived for another visit. We wouldn’t hesitate to put Harry in next time we go away and would highly recommend Haven to even the most worried dog owner.

Our 2 and a half year old Staffy Bella joined the family during covid as an 8 week old, it was therefore a worry when restrictions were lifted, and due to holiday plans, we had to find a Kennel.I was given a guided tour by the owner which set me at ease, Bella has now been staying at Haven exclusively and I trust them 100%, Bella is at ease there despite being a slightly nervous dog and the staff are excellent.

I have been taking my wire fox terrier to Brians Haven Kennels for grooming/stripping for over ten years.This week was the first time that I have used the boarding serivice for my two dogs.They haven't been away before and one is very sensitive [bedlington terrier]. Unsurprising the service was amazing and both dogs have come back in great spirits. Will definitely be using again The kennel staff where fantastic!

We had paid this place to have our rabbit neglected and die. We left our perfectly healthy 7 year old rabbit, Caramel Mishra, with the trust that she had been looked after here before as a 3 year old bunny. But the biggest heartbreak occurred when I was far away in India and all I could do was listen to how Caramel has 'suddenly passed away overnight'. If you claim to care for small animals, you should know to read the signs that even small animals leave food or stop moving when ill in order to act quickly. But saying she 'died suddenly' I can't believe this and a bigger lie that she was eating and acting normal without exposure to shock of loud sounds. Something must've happened and now my family's beloved member is gone and we are stuck in another part of the world with nothing but confusion and tears. Don't pay to have your pets neglected and killed, be it a dog or smaller animal - Meena Mishra

Having recently moved to the area finding a new trusted kennel for our much loved dogs, Fudge and Luna, was a worry. They’re so important to us and making sure they’re comfy when we are away is also vital. I can hands down say I have never been so impressed. Booking in advance couldn’t have been simpler. I exchanged some emails with Brian before calling to confirm. He was so warm and friendly. We paid a deposit to secure the booking and were then away. My partner Ash dropped them off and was blown away by how many questions they asked and how genuinely interested they were in their likes, dislikes and making sure they’re stay was a great one.Tonight we collected two happy, well rested, excitable dogs who have clearly been adored for the weekend! Rich was so kind and complimentary about them both. You can absolutely tell he adores his job and that evidently rubs off on the dogs he cares for.It’s safe to say we won’t be taking ours anywhere else.

We couldn’t recommend Haven Boarding Kennels & Cattery more! We recently dropped off our chihuahua for a 12 day stay and were really delighted with the way he was looked after by Haven. He is a lovely little character, but he can be a bit tricky and it takes him some time to settle in to new environments and with new people. Rich and Sally were so lovely and patient with him, they did an amazing job settling him in, never giving in and eventually “Mr Grumpy” (not his real name!) showed his true happy, bouncy character. He is now back from his holiday and very happy, having learned a bit! We are sure he will look forward to future stays at the “dog hotel”! We have been clients of Haven for 15+ years and have always gone back to them as they always take such good care of our pets. Really big thank you to the team for taking such good care of him!

We dropped our 11 year old terrier cross off at Haven for the first time last week. He spend 5 days there and from what we’ve noticed he had a great time. He was back to his usual self almost immediately. The staff were professional and we found the facilities to be exactly as we’d expect. He will be boarding here again and we’re pleased with their services thus far.

Really upset with my dogs stay here. Dropped him off & my lab was taken straight off me and put away without a slight insight of the condition of where he is staying. no updates the whole week unless I rang other than “he’s a nervous dog” and “isn’t eating properly”.Picked him up in an absolute state. Smelt disgusting!! I’ve honestly never smelt anything worse & have cuts on both paws which we noticed when bringing him home. I’m honestly appalled to be honest. To trust a place that should supposedly be for animal care and for my dog to come home in that state is disgusting. I have not a clue in the exercise he done, The care he was given, Nothing! I was told honestly nothing! I’ve been worried sick all week. So glad he is now home & will never return to this disgusting place. Avoid at all costs. If it means paying extra and going somewhere else, Please do.
