The Buccleuch Arms Hotel
The owner and his staff are very knowledgeable and informative , l doubt we could have had a better host . The surrounding countryside is ideal for biking . The meals were satisfying and tasty , and our room was everything we needed and nothing we didn't.

Fantastic hotel for a biker. Everything a motorcycle rider would need and more. Secure off road parking area with additional bike garages, power wash with snow foam and fluid top ups. Drying room for your wet gear even a map room for planning your routes the hotel host even has pre planned routes and will even install them on your sat nav. Besides all of this a fabulous hotel with a well stocked bar and a superb restaurant menu. Would very highly recommend this hotel to all. The surrounding area is superb for biking. Will be returning like most of the guests I met whilst I stayed there.

Can't help but be impressed by the team here.I happened to stay here when my motorcycle got a flat tyre as I drove past.They helped me get it sorted, and had a room available (I wouldn't make my destination that day)Chance had it that it's a motorcyclist's dream hotel with secure storage, bike cleaning facilities and hearty food.'bookmarked' for future use.

Great people run the hotel, the SA food was awesome and I was lucky enough to get one of the new rooms which are fantastic. It is a bikers hotel and the garages are a godsend. Overall a great place to stay, biker or not. Great choice of beers too

The Buccleuch Arms Hotel
Great service from the guys in The Buccleuch Arms Hotel at dinner this evening. From the moment we walked through the door we were greeted and welcomed in by the incredibly friendly staff. Menu was expertly explained upon arrival before we placed our orders. Service was swift and the food was impeccable. Simply wonderful. Mixed with the lovely atmosphere created by the family who run this hotel/restaurant, all of whom came over, made the time to talk and joke with us, it makes for an experience we’d highly recommend to anyone who finds themselves in Moffat. If we find ourselves this way again we will definitely be back!Update: Food and Service from all the family was so good we went back again the next night!

Perfect for like minded bikers looking for comfortae accommodation and hearty food and beer. The owners Dave and the team are die hard bikers from South Africa with wicked senses of humour, and totally focused on making your stay as good as it can possibly be.Recommended!!

First time we have stayed at the Buccleuch Arms Hotel. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Room was very comfortable and quiet, food excellent, all the staff were very friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. We’ve never stayed in a hotel that catered so well for motorcyclists. From suggesting routes to ride, to making equipment available for every eventuality - fabulous.

Spent a couple of nights here during a biking tour of Scotland. The managers and staff where amazingly attentive. Provided secure parking and washing facilities for the bikes. Even provided a drying room when our bike gear was wet.The food was great. Breakfasts enormous. Although geared up for bikers it also had none biking couples and families there enjoying the hotel and its facilities.

Sadly we were not able to get a room here as they were booked up but we got a room across the street and tried to head over for dinner and drinks. From the moment we walked in we were treated like guests with complete above and beyond service. The atmosphere at this hotel is so special, we had great chats with the owners and other guests. Dave even offered to send us a gpx file of the best motorcycle route to our next destination and it was perfect ☺️ oh and our dinner was phenomenal! I’m pretty positive it’ll be the best meal we had on our whole trip. Everyone who works there takes hospitality seriously and on a personal level and it shows. We will definitely be back and this time reserve well in advance to stay at The Buccleuch Hotel!

The Buccleuch Arms Hotel
To put it simply ... a fantastic hotel run by a family with lots of interest in their customers.Clean rooms and great food make for an easy stay.Popular with the touring motorbike groups where they can park safely in edge of the large beer garden.Little bar and a lounge area downstairs with a large dining area on the first floor for evening meals and breakfasts.With Moffat being a nice town and plenty of scenic routes in the area its easy to see why this books up quite quickly.Highly recommended.
