Ridiculous low staff levels. Only ever one person attending the counter. Machines are useless and I refuse to use them. Staff are quick to point you in the machines direction at the same time doing them selves out of a job!

One cashier on at any one time, the remaining staff standing around with tablets, trying to look busy. The service is so slow, especially if you want to deal with a cashier and not use the automated paying in or withdrawal machines which are taking jobs away.

Banked at this branch for over 40 years and can honestly say the level of service in house is the worst ever. Machines inside are rarely working properly, counter clerk (one only) might as well not be there as wont allow paying in over the counter, and lastly rang to order some change for my business to be told I could collect it in the afternoon, and got there to then be told there was a problem in getting the change and would not be available until following day. No one rang to tell me this so a wasted journey costing me time and effort. Come on Barclays get your act together or I am off elsewhere!

Don't know what's happened to this branch used to be so easy to get help an good service now it's just staff pointing you to machines an when they play up they make you feel like your the problem , never follow up issues raised with them , staff not that friendly or helpful, Will be changing my banking to another bank soon Barclays customer services are becoming very poor despite years of being with them means nothing.

An absolute disgrace!I was told by the call centre that there were no appointments but someone should be able to help in branch.So I went in with my elderly grandmother to help her sort out a problem. We were confronted by an army of walking iPads who showed as much compassion and independent thought as the tablet they were holding. They all blankly said “no, you need an appointment”. Meanwhile the staff member who deals with appointments was sat on her own “waiting”.They even failed to book an appointment for a future date, simply apologising for the “system failure”.This is a classic example of technology being used incorrectly to “improve” service. You can’t replace competent and empathetic staff with witless morons and simply expect the technology to make up the deficit.

Went into the bank in Stafford this morning and there was one customer waiting to see an assistant. I was sat waiting for half an hour and after the customer was seen to but still I never got to see anyone. I had left my disabled husband in the car as it is too far for him to walk. I wanted to do a Bank transfer to Tenerife and I didn't know how to do it on line. I wll now have to traipse down town again. Not very impressed.

Had to go in store as app did not function......nearly 7 weeks later we are no where near solving my issue. Nice staff but quite frankly do not understand their own systems. As they are telling me the issue they make no sense.....proof because my issue is still not resolved. Lady from the bank calling me and leaving messages while I am at work no way to call her back. Customer for over 35 years being told they have no correspondance address!! Totally disjointed service.
