Non-existent aftersales service. Not interested once you have paid. Missed a cupboard floor as the fitters didn't have the piece. One year and about a dozen calls made, promises given then broken, still nothing. I will not use again.

Excellent products however would never use the fitting service again and unfortunately their lack of service lets them down especially if you have an issue

I recently had Gavin MacDonald flooring in to fit Karndean flooring over an extensive area in my house. All I can say is that they did a superb job from start to finish. I will certainly use them again in future . Superb range of products and a great service. Can't recommend them highly enough. Gavin himself even phoned afterwards to check that we were happy with the result.

This should have been a 5-star review as at first sales team great job very helpful the boys who laid the floor great but the after service shocking had a couple of small issues they promised to fix but didn't have phoned and never been phoned back emailed lots of time with no reply so what should read good company excellent service actually reads don't use this company because if anything wrong they won't fix such a shame

I have recently had carpet and vinyl laid by Gavin MacDonald flooring throughout our new 3 bedroom home and I'm delighted with the whole service.I had both Tara and Steven help with choosing flooring, coming out and measuring, pricing and organising the fitting.I had the tightest deadline from moving out of one home to the other and both Tara and Steven had endless patience, gave great advice and took all the stress out of organising this for me. They went over and above to make sure all was fitted in time for me.I would highly recommend Gavin MacDonald flooring. They have a fab new showroom and a wide selection of different flooring options to choose from.The team have great product knowledge and felt they gave good honest opinions on the products.Thank you for a positive, stress free experience.

Very helpful, patient staff.great amount of stock, prices well good. Back showroom lacking in light to see colouring on carpets properly, otherwise brilliant. Definitely recommend to it here. Now looking forward to having new carpeting put down in dining room

Gavin MacDonald Flooring is a company we had used on a number of occasions previously and have always had a great service up until now. However the mark of a good and reputable company is not how they act when things go right, as had done for us previously, it’s how they deal with issues when problems arise – this is when GM flooring proved to be utterly appalling and should be avoided at all costs.While fitting our carpets and flooring, they managed to rip our new wallpaper which had only been hung the previous week. The Livingroom carpet was damaged (covered in pulls/damage). In addition to this, they left all the sharp carpet tacks all over my daughter’s bedroom when fitting the hall carpet – rather dangerous for a young child!, no care for health and safety. They apparently also ran out of silver door trims (that we had ordered) when fitting hall flooring, so rather than stop and get more they just completed the other half of the house in bronze which is lazy and looked ridiculous, the fitters acknowledged this and said they would be back to fix, which never happened.Mistakes happen, and I like to judge people on how they resolve them. Unfortunately this part of the customer experience was deplorable and they were utterly useless. Attempts were made over and over for weeks to resolve / inspect and deal with the issues. Either no one ever turned up, or we were fobbed off with ‘the manager will call you back’, which also never happened. The showroom staff acknowledged what happened was totally unacceptable every time we spoke to them, however the manager never returned the calls / messages left, totally ignored the situation.In the end we put a dispute in with the credit card company which was found in our favour following investigation, allowing us to reclaim the full portion we had paid by credit card.Avoid this company and shop elsewhere for sure.

Two contractors who came to do work on my kitchen flooring asked to borrow my hoover as their hoover wasn’t put back in their van,I agreed and let them use my hoover only for them to break my shark hoover wand, they apologised offered to try and glue it back together and before they left, they apologised again, and when my letting company tried to investigate the company said that their two contractors had said that I already told them it was broken. Which is lie.They didn’t press the button to release the latch system and broke the latch.Why would I let them use the hoover if it was broken?So not only did they break my Property they also lied about it.

Where to start..... firstly, I was given a day for my flooring to arrive and be laid, I had to take the day off to be home for it and it didn't arrive.Then after a phone call they arrived a couple of days later with one out of the three floors I was expecting. Unfortunately, I had chosen a pattern lino and it was laid in the wrong direction and squint. This was despite them sending someone out who had previously asked me which direction I want it in etc.....why ask if you're just going to do something else. I had purchased 4 door bars, although only received three and actually required 5!The two carpets came on different days again, so in total 4 days off for three floors to arrive. Each time promising to bring the door bars, but nothing. Finally the last carpet we had to change our colour choice on and basically accept something we didn't want in a similar colour and a thinner carpet as they said they now couldn't get the carpet we had ordered and paid for.Just an absolute disaster of a company.The owner came into my house after several complaints and argued with me about how in his opinion the patterned floor looks better the way it is. Nothing was rectified. The floor should have been parallel to the main focus of our kitchen, the Rayburn, and it is actually squint off the Rayburn and unfortunately it grabs your attention as soon as anyone walks in.I have not replaced it yet as we bought an old house requiring a lot of work but will have to come back to it. So many people have commented on it and I make sure they know it was Gavin MacDonald flooring that laid it that way, against what I had asked for. They don't care, they're just happy they got our money.
