Incredibly racist staff who kept gaslighting me and would not believe that I have friends in my home country to send money to despite having all proper legal documentation. Your manager, in mind-boggling racist fashion and tone, even tried to dismiss the fact that my country had no operational banking system at the moment due to a massive economic crisis it’s going through, which is the only reason I’m using Western Union in the first place. They had zero explanation or rationale as to why I was rejected. All they would say is “this service is to send money to friends and family only”. When I would respond with “this is for my friends!!” they would repeat the same line “only for friends and family”, clearly insinuating that I *had* to be lying. They didn’t even bother apologising. And before you respond to this by saying that you have to follow “strict guidelines” or whatever like I see you are already doing under reviews of other people who had a similar experience at your institution, I’ll add that I went directly after to the other Western Union inside St. David’s and had my transaction completed within ~5 minutes, with the very same exact information and documents. You saw my foreign name and coloured skin and decided to treat me like a threat. It’s 2023. Shame, shame on you.

It's my first time going and I was a little lost but the staff helped me a lot and were very friendly. Manager Dennisse also speaks Spanish so it was easier for me to understand everything.
