Great grocery super market in Birmingham - great shopping experience and all every day shopping items available in plenty. Great staff!!!

All your desired Indo-Pak regular stuff and quite a few special items too, Shahi Maiwa from Pakistan. It has its own parking and all fresh vegetables too. It's a little more expensive, but it has everything under one roof. Open on Sunday too.

The range of Asian groceries is quite good. It was also great to see a lot of greens and vegetables. A good selection of utensils, home goods and small appliances are also available. The prices however were a touch on the higher side in my honest opinion.

Extremely dirty supermarket. Till area needs a good clean, the staff are miserable. The shelf areas are also very dirty and don’t get me started on meat counter. Compared to other Asian supermarkets I have seen local and in other city’s this has to be the worst. Needs a Referb and a deep clean.

Noon today was my 1st time to visit and shop here. I bought a bottle of 1kg caustic soda @£2.79. I checked the receipt and it charged £3.99. I came back to the cashier named Inay**(in the receipt) . I showed her my photo of the caustic soda bottle with the price tag @£2.79. She said its price was wrongly tagged. I canceled to buy it. She reprinted the receipt and refunded £3.33. I repeatedly asked her why only £3.33 was refunded but not £3.99. Her repeat answers were I don't know". I looked into her new receipt and there is an additional item VAT £0.33. I explained such newly appeared VAT £0.33 should be refunded as well. She insisted to refund £3.33. For simplicity

Good variation of food and veg. All relatively fresh. Staff are quite straight faced. Have their own carpark with good level of availability. Overall good shopping experience.

Decent supermarket with wide varieties of fruits vegetables, used to be very fresh but Maybe this time i visited when about to close at 8:00 pm hence vegetables were not as fresh. Other groceries available, variety of utensils including earthern wares...Parking though only 90 minutes which i think is enough even if you want to spend time doing lots of shopping but have to be alert as the fines can be very expensive.

I rarely shopped at this supermarket because I found the prices too expensive and the staff arrogant and unprepared.The variety of products they have, can be found in the other ethnic shops and supermarkets on the same road.I made a small purchase and was given a blackened coin as change. Shortly afterwards I went back to Goldens to buy something else and paid with the coins I had received as change from them. The cashier didn't accept it, and the manager came over and was rude to me, telling me that I hadn't taken that coin from there. He made me look ashamed in front of the other customers, and instead he should have apologised to me and not given his customers dirty money.I'll never go there again.

Wide variety of good quality foods. I’ve shopped there for 4 years on a weekly basis & it’s consistently good.However parking is problematic. They have an arrogant parking attendant who ordered me not to park in an area which was marked ‘staff’. The sign appears to serve only 3-4 bays. I parked in a single bay well away from this sign & was told “that is for staff move!”. The whole area was full of cars sone of which were 23 plates. I obeyed. The brand new Lexus 4x4 with a family aboard next to me pulled away. I pointed this out & was told that he was “making a delivery!”. Utter nonsense- he was nowhere near the delivery bay! I challenged him further & he ignored me. I suspected his attitude towards me was because of my skin colour as the owner of the Lexus was of a different culture as is approx 98% of customers.I plan to firmly challenge him if it happens again. I suspect the attendants behaviour was promoted by racism.

The man at the meat counter would not serve me until he had served all the other Asian customers even though I had clearly been waiting longer. I have never experienced such blatant racism. It was disgusting. I shall never go there again, and will spend my money at the much nicer and friendlier supermarket down the road. The manager really needs to sort this racist behaviour out…if it happened to me it must be happening to loads of people.
