MK village practice were very helpful from my call to seeing a GP. I would like to thank them for helping me today as I've received antibiotics for my eye & my referral to the eye specialist. Great service throughout. GP was very caring & thorough & understanding.

Surprisingly, this is a good surgery unlike most. Doctors communicate well with hospitals, ensuring paperwork is actioned. If you have a condition which involves a specialist hospital, this surgery is very good. My medication reviews are completed annually and the paperwork to go with this is acknowledged and actioned, staying within review dates and medication not being cut off. If an instruction was given by the hospital, the surgery would be on it asap. I am also on gene therapy which can cause liver damage, therefore routine blood tests are required. I would never have expected them to know this just from seeing I had began treatment. However straight away they got in touch with my consultant to arrange the routine blood tests. I haven’t had these blood tests done since I moved from Milton Keynes which goes to show how often other surgeries discard most communication. I guess this could pass off as bare minimum, you know, keeping me alive, but the bar is low having coming from Flitwick Surgery. I would recommend this surgery to those with long term illnesses.

I always had good experience with this practice. Whenever I needed an appointment, I was given one. I handle medical appointments for my child and my other half and they also always got their appointments when needed. Tests results and prescriptions were worked on quickly. Receptionists and phone handlers sometimes seem a bit abrupt, but given the stress and workload they have, I can't complain. Thanks.

Although not a frequent reviewer I feel obliged to pass my thoughts on the service offered by my practice.Firstly, the staff on reception are helpful and always try to do their best to help with queries, requests and appointments, despite high demand across the NHS in general. The surgery itself has undergone expansion over the years and is always spacious, bright and clean which is all you need really.Lastly, and most importantly, I have found all the doctors I have seen over the years to be fantastic. Doctor Rice has looked after all my family so well helping us diagnose and navigate serious ill health and we remain grateful for his caring, supportive and calming nature- it is clear he takes pride in his work and really cares for his patients genuinely wanting the best for them.

If I could give 10 stars to this practice, I absolutely would! Reception staff are always very friendly and helpful. My GP is amazing, she’s friendly and approachable and I always feel seen and heard. Cannot understand the negative reviews, they should try any other doctors surgery in Milton Keynes and realise how good MK Village is!

After reading some of the reviews, I was little apprehensive about joining this practice but since it's the one for my catchment area, I kinda had to!I have to say, I've been really impressed. I get through on the phone quickly, I got an apointment quickly and everyone I've spoken to - including different receptionists - have all been friendly, welcoming and helpful.I saw Doctor Rice who got right onto my high blood pressure issue and has immediately started to work to get it under control. He also booked an appt for me with the physio for my plantar fasciitis. Not once did I feel rushed, nor was I spoken down to and I don't have to wait long for the physio appointment.I thought I had a good practice in Brighton but this one seems even better. It's also really easy to find, has ample parking and all of the staff are great.

Excellent care by the receptionist and doctor today. I phoned up at 3.20pm about my daughter and had a phone call from the doctor by 4pm. They then did the prescription for me to collect immediately. Really friendly and efficient care for my daughter. Thank you

I had an unfortunate encounter with the receptionist at this establishment. I was appalled by the level of rudeness and impatience displayed throughout our interaction. To make matters worse, the receptionist abruptly hung up on me, demonstrating a complete lack of professionalism. What shocked me even further was the receptionist's audibly derogatory remark, Oh my god

I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration with my recent experience at the Milton Keynes Village Practice. I had an appointment with a GP and when I enquired about the GP on call, I was informed that I could come to the hospital to fill out the necessary form. I was specifically instructed to come 20 minutes early to complete the form before my appointment. When I arrived at the hospital 25 minutes early, the receptionist turned me away and informed me that I needed to have filled out the form prior to my arrival. I explained that I was never informed of this requirement and that I had confirmed my appointment just two hours prior to my scheduled time, at which point I was told that it would be no problem to fill out the form upon my arrival. The supervisor who came to speak with me was dismissive and unhelpful, and simply told me to reschedule my appointment for the following week. When I explained that I was experiencing severe pain and needed to see a doctor urgently, she arrogantly told me to go to the emergency center instead.I am extremely disappointed by the way in which my time was wasted and by the lack of concern shown by the staff at the hospital. It is completely unacceptable to provide incorrect information on the phone and then deny the appointment upon arrival. People make sacrifices to keep their appointments and it is unacceptable to cancel them without proper reason or notification.I request that you take action to ensure that such incidents do not occur in the future. It is important that the staff are trained to provide accurate information and show greater respect and concern for the time and well-being of patients.

Dr Moore is a great dr and I’ve had him for years, this is where the good points for this practice end… here’s the start of the problems… The inability to get an “emergency” appointment is beyond ridiculous! The receptionists are the rudest I’ve ever encountered. You sit in a huge queue for an appointment and as soon as you get down to single figures they cut you off. Then if you eventually get through they tell you there’s no appointments for that day AGAIN. And no prebookable face to face appointments and 1 telephone appointment available for 8 weeks time. The call logging system also doesn’t get you an appointment as you don’t get a call back. If you mention this to a receptionist when you eventually come in for your appointment they are very rude with a “well were busy, best thing to do is turn up at the surgery at 8am in the morning to try and get an appointment” not good enough when you have children that need to be seen. This practice needs a shake up of their procedures as it is beyond a joke now.
