Another great stay at Wild Boar Wood! It's such a beautiful spot, and a unique setup. We camp all over the UK, and there's nothing quite like this place. Attentive staff helped us get setup, the yurt was spotless, bucket showers as fun as ever. Listening to the woodpeckers and owls at night was magical. We'll be back soon!

I had one night here with my 9 year old daughter and we had a lovely relaxing time. The campsite is in a lovely setting right next to the Bluebell Railway, so great views of the trains.Everything is well looked after and toilets, showers, kitchen area really clean.Lots of useful items provided.Had a lovely shower with the outdoor bucket shower.Anna and Alice the wardens are very lovely and nothing is too much trouble for them. Very helpful. We would definitely recommend a stay here.

Really enjoyed our stay at Wild Boar. Its a nice intimate setting and we had privacy when we wanted it. Location is gorgeous, lots of trees around the bell tents and also a really picturesque part of the English countryside. We went for a walk to a local pub once for a meal whilst we were there which was nice. Thanks to everyone at the site for making our stay a good one :)

This was my very first camping/glaming attempt I was little nervous on what to expect or what things I should take with me. Hugh was so kind and responded to my pretty amateur questions and made me relax. The wardens Anna & Alice were also very helping and friendly. The overall facility is well maintained and thought through of providing a peaceful and real camping experience. A very good campsite for beginners like me who can then explore if camping is for them or not in a secure, comfortable and peaceful facility. We totally loved it.

We had a lovely time at Wild Boar Wood - almost want to selfishly keep the place to ourselves. Our daughter loved the open fire - building a den - watching the trains steam past.Tents come with everything you need. But it’s real camping, where you need to cook on the fire and the enjoy the slower pace of life. Staff were lovely. Peaceful. Love the no music policy. Great for kids.We will be coming again.

We stayed for a couple nights with friends, it was a great set up with all the equipment in the tents, great layout with communal fire and enjoyed the bucket shower. The location was good with a 20 min drive to the river to cool off and have a swim as was a hot weekend. However our weekend was ruined as the staff were really unwelcoming. They greeted us at the car park but didn’t help at all with unloading our wheelbarrows which was tricky as a short walk to the site with kids. We were then told to turn off music at 6:30pm (felt very unreasonable to not be allowed any low music at all). Then told off again for noise but as a large group there is going to be an element of noise chatting around a campfire. The manager then had to come speak to us the next day, felt like children being told off. He was really reasonable and a great guy who understood as a group there would be noise but we didn’t feel comfortable at all.For the amount we paid we were made to feel really unwelcome and it ruined our trip.
