Cutlacks

This review is specifically about their Ecover refills. It is positive they offer refills, alongside the bottled Ecover products. It is worth using, from my perspectives, for smaller amounts, but they do not offer any economies of scale, with a fixed price of £7.99 per litre for Bio laundry liquid (for example). You need to bring in bottle/container which you want filled (IE. they will not half-fill it, because hard to be precise with amounts). Staff members do the refill.I would suggest they offer staged discounts for larger amounts. Perhaps 10% reduction for 3 litres and more, and 15% for 5 litres and more. I wonder if Cutlacks will sell customers one of the 15 litre containers which they dispense from. If you use a lot and have the space for storage, the obvious solution is to get one of these, and do your own refills. They are available on the internet, and can save about 50% in cost and lots of time, compared to doing 15 refills of a one litre bottle (or 3 of a 5 litre - remember the fixed price per litre) at Cutlacks.Despite what the rather over-assertive assistant said, high street shops and online shops exist in relation to each other, and an increase in online availability has changed rather than destroyed the high street, and it is up to places like Cutlacks to offer solutions to customers, as I suggested here, in order to remain relevant and competitive. As it is, there is a way to bulk buy, both saving money and avoiding buying lots of plastic bottles.

Don't buy from here if you might need a refund. Cutlacks only give credit notes, which while legal is not very customer friendly. There are loads of other stores selling the same products who offer refunds so why wouldn't you use them?

The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We entered to find replacement lamp shades and we found some that were suitable at reasonable prices.As Cutlacks is a relatively small DIY shop we didn't have to walk around looking for the display of the lamp shades. Excellent under-rated shop, suppose because of its location near the far end of Mill Road. Big range of stuff including home brew.

Friendly, helpful and have everything for my brewing needs. only bad thing is they are not open on Sundays but I guess they deserve a life too.

Very convenient household goods store--prices seem reasonable as well. I wish they would turn off the infomercial running constantly on one of the displays though, even if only for their sanity.
