I visited a few weeks ago to have a look at some boots, they managed to squeeze me in an appointment a short while(same day) after for a boot fitting as they had a tremendous selection on offer. (Don't forget to book in advance if you want to experience their amazing service!).I couldn't recommend them more, they do a whole raft of measurements and provide advice based on shape and size of your feet, they make it all so easy and the person attending me (Dave!) was clearly very knowledgeable. I ended up getting some Altberg boots with some insoles and love them.Give them a visit. I'll be going back if/when I need anything else.

I went here today and I had Dave sorting out my boots. He did AMAZING!These boots that I have got today fit perfectly, I couldn't think about going anywhere else to get boots. I will definatly be going back to get more when I need them which I assume won't happen any time soon.I reccomend them to anyone who is struggling with their walking or just need new boots that fit well.

Master Class in customer service! Came across this shop whilst browsing online for a new pair of boots, the fitting service was of interest to make sure I bought the right boots first time. 50 minutes drive from home was well worth it. Booked online Friday evening for an appointment which was available the following day. Attended to by Aggie who was very knowledgable and professional. So pleased I requested the fitting service which took about an hour. Well done & thank you.

Most walkers visit the Ambleside retailers and compare these with online prices. This is a far cry from really finding out what your feet, rather than your wallet, needs. Do yourself a real favour and match your feet with the right boot, without letting your eyes decide. Absolutely outstanding service during my first visit last week. I'll be back.

I went here for some new walking boots since mind where a little long in the tooth. I have very odd feet and finding confront footwear for walking in is difficult for me but the boots he sold me are even more comfortable then the old pair(which I bought from Alt-berg factory shop). There knowledge about boots and feet is second to none and took more measurements of my feet then I though was possible. Very happy with the service and the new boots.

Spent the morning having my feet measured and “evaluated” then tried on a great selection of boots. What a great experience…. Well worth the money, my new boots are so comfortable…..soft as slippers…. Thoroughly recommend Aggie, her knowledge of the biomechanics of the foot was astounding!

My experience today was excellent. The expertise in the fitting was something to behold. I have walked away with a superbly fitted pair of boots and this has always previously been problematic due to shape and nature of my feet. I would happily recommend this shop to anyone.
