Nortel Social Club

A spot I've known all my life, I grew up going for dinner in a restaurant here when I was a child and the staff have always been friendly and inviting and good enough to remember me. Now I go on Thursdays for the pub quiz, but there's plenty on! Independent and still kickin, can't knock a good thing.

This Social Club is run by a Committee made up of former factory workers & members, who all live in the local communities. The club puts out an weekly email detailing the weeks activities, including live music & other club activities. The club also has a football section which plays in the Premier Divsion of the NAFL. Main entertainment night is Saturday when we have live music in the sports lounge, with the other 2 halls available for hire. Well that's the official information but all in all the club is a great place for a drink, having decent prices and a wide selection of drink available, I love the friendly atmosphere along with great bar staff makes it a great Saturday night out!

Always a good night at Nortel , there’s no doubt that this club sits at the heart of community sports and community spirit , it shows that bringing people together benefits all , quiz nights , fundraisers, or simply meeting up with old friends and even making new ones , I see Nortel like a hub and a club there will always be a special place in my heart for this place.
