Victoria Park
The park's cafe is a cozy, unpretentious gem. Its simple decor and warm atmosphere make you feel right at home. The menu offers comfort food favorites, perfect after a long walk or jog. Enjoy a steaming cup of coffee while watching the world go by. The cafe, with its laid-back charm, is the heart of the park, making every visit feel like a catch-up with an old friend.

What a great space. Real community feel to the place. The cafe is excellent and the whole place is kept well and lots of children's things to do.

Victoria Park
Beautiful quiet place to sit on a bench and unwind, or walk around. You can often see squirrels around. The park is well kept, clean and in proximity to the city center. It also has an aviary with peacocks and some weird-looking chicken, which I found funny.

Nice Victorian public gardens, currently undergoing a refurb. Will soon have aviary open again. Small cute cafe near gate. Ideal for sitting on a bench watching the world go by.

Victoria Park
New entrances now finished. Not much change but a little bit wider. Aviary now closed and animals moved. There are some new buildings being built but not finished and not sure what they are going to be.This was a great place to visit 40 odd years ago when they had the glass conservatory and multiple animals to feed and pass time by. Fish pond still there. Spend the money on making that better and cleaner.Plenty of grass and unfortunate soles around. Plenty of empty Stella cans and wine bottles around too. Cafe is nice but very over priced for what you get. Better of going to greggs or Costa.

Love this place. A complete escape from crazy city life. Large variety of plants, flowers and trees. Enjoy watching the animals too! The cafe has amazing food!! As most local residents live in flats, this park is the garden of your dreams.

Some works currently being carried out (July 2023) should be great when all finished. However still a lovely tranquil place to stroll around in the middle of a busy city!

At the moment it is undergoing changes the anima bird enclosures are being revamped and areas around the park Re converted to mini meadows I think the fountain is also due for refurbishment.
