St Botolph's Church
Went along to an Evensong earlier today, it was just myself and another man - George - who told me it’s typically only him on Fridays. The service was really lovely; quiet & reflective, & that really did help me put my mind to God. The church itself is gorgeous, too, & I would certainly love to come here again some day for a service of Holy Communion!

St Botolph's Church
This Grade I listed church was built beside where the south gate of medieval Cambridge once stood. It was frequently visited by travellers, hence its dedication to St Botolph. The flint and rubble church building dates from the 14th century. The elaborate chancel was rebuilt in 1872. The octagonal font dates to 1637 and features a Laudian wood cover in excellent condition.Dedicated to the lesser known East Anglian abbot from the 7th century, Botolph, or Botwulf is the patron saint travellers and various aspects of farming.

St Botolph's Church
A quiet place to reflect and pray. It’s a bit of a squeeze to prayer there, admittedly, but there were cushions available at least. Beautiful building too. Plenty of interest whether you wish to pray and reflect, or explore history a little.

Lovely historic church in central Cambridge. Not as grand as some nearby but very beautiful and we stopped in there for a weekend book sale and coffee and cake.

St Botolph's Church
It isn't that surprising that there are as many as 71 Churches dedicated to Saint Botolph in England he is the patron saint of travel after all . I have managed to get to 2 of them I need to get moving but both of these were special . This one in Cambridge is beautiful and an oasis of peace and quiet in a busy city .It boasts the only remaining medieval rood screen in a parish church in Cambridge .

One for the Bodley trail - the chancel was restored by him, decorated by Leach & Sons and there are a couple of good windows, some excellent monuments (outside on the church walls too!) and superb font cover. Worth a look.
