Damp and Timber Surveyor (CSRT, AssocRICS)

Basharat was very helpful in diagnosing damp issues at my home. He is very knowledgable and has a professional work ethic. I would highly recommend using his services if you have any damp related issues.

Following on from a building survey that I had on my own own property advising that I may have major damp, I called upon Basharat as an independent surveyor. He refused to recommend anyone who actually carries out the remedial work, which is what I was after. I previously had 3 damp working companies come in who all found different issues that aren't actually caused by what they claimed, would have cost me thousands, and would not have resolved the underlying issues. Basharat was very friendly and explained everything as he went. His work included some intrusive activity that he fully explained beforehand to ensure permission and agreement, and is something that other independent surveyors wont do without extra costs! Good value for money, and will definitely recommend.

Great surveyor - very friendly and open. We wanted an independent surveyor as we'd read that many of the damp and timber contractors will give you a biased opinion in-order to sell their service; Basharat was therefore perfect. Basharat was understanding and accommodating from the start. He was clear and concise with what he was able to offer with costing and timeframes. Basharat was really accommodating, fitting me in when he was really busy. He was very easy to deal with, spent a lot of time investigating and then explaining the issues to me. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

I couldn't recommend Basharat more - We called him in after our Level 3 survey found suspected rising damp recommending an expensive DPC. Basharat was quickly able to establish that this was not the case, and although we do still have a great deal of work to do to rectify our problem, it was not rising damp, saving us an expensive and unnecessary treatment. He also took the time out to talk us through his findings immediately after attending the property. He does not offer or refer to damp treatment contractors, so is fully unbiased, honest, and impartial.
