Stonefield Castle

The castle is in a beautiful location overlooking the loch. All staff are very friendly and helpful. The meals in the restaurant were excellent.

This is an outstanding castle and is sheer luxury at its best with a private driveway up to the castle with more than adequate parking and very disabled friendly it has lots of character and history and overlooking the loch with its amazing views from the restaurant and also many rooms and some overlooking the gardensAlex the receptionist was totally exemplary helping us settle in and was a terrific host for our stay. and extremely helpfulWith woodland walks to peace and tranquillity.Also 5 minutes drive from Tarbot small town it was with great pleasure to find easy parking and access to all amenities

Fantastic service from the restaurant staff and bar staff. The food was out of this world and the room was outstanding. Really loved our 2 nights there. We'll recommended.

Lovely hotel & location is beautiful. For me the rooms could be modernised slightly & the breakfast was particularly poor. I had the eggs Benedict & I must say they were the worst I’ve ever had. Muffin was dry & over done, eggs hard boiled, ham old, dry & in limited quantity & the hollandaise was awful, definitely not made there.

Lovely and clean place room was lovely altho for couples that like to cuddle the two single beds pushed together was a little inconvenient also be careful with the water coming out the bath as it comes out like it was poured from a kettle! The place also had the heating on full blast so It was super warm but amazing when coming in from a walk.The nicest staff ever provided such an amazing service they are really what make the whole experience.Really great for a time to relax and enjoy the gorgeous land and amazing foodWe are going to return in the summer months we'll worth it

While our room was nothing special - though with a nice view-- the bath was lovely, the property, common area, meals, and staff are all exceptional. Without question, we got the best whiskey advice here, from the bartender (who looked like he was 12), and this advice proved dead-on for the whole of our Scotland tour- we sounded like we knew what we were talking about, because of his insights. The meals were delicious too, and we really enjoyed conversing with the restaurant manager, and the staff by the fire. Really, if you are considering it, book here.

Had a couple of nights at this little Scottish gem last week. Excellent staff. Great food and really welcoming for the two dogs.Wonderful setting.Thank you to Marica for helping us out on the last nightCan't recommend highly enough!

Food overpriced and mediocre. Service ok but felt more like a residential home than hotel very sedate and quiet even though it was full. Made to feel very uncomfortable at 10.30pm on a Saturday night because they wanted to close the bar and go home.

A bit of a let down. The location and the public areas are very nice but, lack of cleanliness and maintenance in the room.Fantastic staff all were very friendly.We would not stay again.
