Lidl
Easily the worst Lidl in Northern Ireland. Sad that this is pretty much the only grocery store in the city centre. I never buy the fruit anymore cause it's covered in mould, they don't even keep the fruit and veg in fridges. The nuts are kept in warm conditions also which makes them taste a bit off. If you don't go in early in the day most of the shelves will be bare cause it seems they never restock the shelves and i don't see the point in them having a security guard when they allow low life's to sit out the front shaking down everyone for change that walks in. If i'm ever getting more than a few items i'll get the bus up to the one on the shore road, that's how bad this shop is.

Not a bad store at all, Just feel a bit sorry for the staff having to deal with crazed persons high on drugs and drink coming into their store and making their lives a misery. the city council really should be doing something about this as the city centre has become a no go zone as of lately.

Lidl
Convenient and hassle free supermarket. Close to waterfront and in the middle of town. Lots of choices. Staff are helpful and friendly. Their bread section is probably the best. Fresh baked goods and good value for money.

Bad experience, security guards suspected us of stealing for no reason: Because the cashier is not skilled, the customer in front of me cut in line, I was in a hurry to go to class, so I waited for a long time and finally reached the checkout very quickly swipe the card and leave, which did not ask for a receipt, in a hurry on the road, then a security guard chased out from behind, want to take us back, I was in a hurry to class so let my friend go with him, my friend said he was locked in a small black room search... Although I did not ask for a receipt, my mobile phone bank showed that I had already paid the money. As time was tight, they did not adjust the monitoring and forcibly detained my friend without evidence, which made us feel extremely insulted and not be respected.

Pretty much everything you'd need from a supermarket, including fresh fruits and bakery. Everything is keenly priced as you'd expect from Lidl.

“Azim” is a horrible cashier for the 10-item line. He allowed a drunk woman who couldn’t even afford her items to cut the person in front of me, and did nothing even when people in the line began scolding the drunkard for asking us to lend her money so that she could purchase her beer. Then, he allowed a Chinese girl to cut me while I was paying for my items, and both “Azim” and the Chinese girl looked at me as though I was crazy when I redirected him to serve me, as I was here first. The other staff here are lovely, but this Azim guy doesn’t know how to do his job properly.
