I walked in to get a pastie and was told steak wos out, and they only have minced. I have ordered that and was handed one in seconds. It was hot and really tasty. I did enjoy it. It was decent size to and it filled me up. Also there was good mix of potatoes, mince and other vegetables inside but beef flavours were dominant. The pastry was tasty too. Not bland as some others.

Best vegan pasty I've had in Cornwall so far. Was so surprised by how heavy it was, how filling it was, and honestl, if I worked in the mines I would be satisfied with this huge thing! Would definitely return and so many options for non-vegans too.

Honestly one of the best Cornish Pasty that I have tried. I ordered the Standard Steak. It was around £4-5. It was spectacular. The filling was amazing. But the real winner was the bread. It was good and flaky. It was the first time that I was also able to finish the sides which I don’t normally eat. That’s how good the bread of this pasty was.

One of the best pasty’s I’ve ever had, full of flavour. Although it was one of the first I’ve ever eaten in Cornwall as it was my first time visiting here. Had a couple since and still top of the leader board. Lady serving was friendly too.

We were recommended this place for Cornish pasties and didn't have any cause to regret it. Very close to St Michaels mount, friendly staff, quick service and hot, well made pasties. Loved everything about it - the pastry case, filling and flavour. One of those kept me full for a long time and after trying pasties from many other places, I can safely say that Philps was my favourite.

NOT AS EXPECTEDI’ve tried this for first time ever but it was not that much good for me. It was soft undoubtedly but the taste was not much good.I would like to suggest to the restaurant to add some more spice especially for people from India or Asia because we like more spicy or you can made another category of pastry which will have more spice.Overall the taste was ok but it was very soft which is good.

Great pasties, variety is brilliant, had them ever since I was a kid on holidays and it's still tradition now I'm much older!!Perfect place to sit and eat my pasty :)
