The Groom Room Hereford

Took my little furbabies here today and couldn't fault the service. Pepper and Dottie have come back smelling amazing and looking lovely. Behaved well throughout service and i am sure this is because staff were super kind and happy to reassure my puppies. Would recommend xx

We always take our long haired GSD's to the Hereford Groom Room as they have always done a great job but this time we were super disappointed. They both came out wetter than normal. They were in for a bath, brush and blow dry with extra deshedding. I normally always give them a quick brush when they get home to take away the loose hairs from the store but this time, I just kept brushing and brushing. I got as much hair off as I normally would. One dog still smelled bad around his rear area. What's the point of paying £35 per dog to only do everything myself when they come out of there?!? That's the last time I take them there. It's a shame as we have been supporting this place for over four years. Standards have dropped.

Really impressed with the groom room, first time sending my 8 year old lab cross Bella. I was a bit worried as she was dropped off then picked up nearly an hour later but she came back lovely and the people were reassuring. Definitely recommend.

I took our 10 month old Malchi (Chihuahua X with a Maltese) ‘Georgie’ there on New Years Eve for her first groom. The staff were friendly enough although on of them seemed a little stressed. Georgie was in there just under an hour. The cut they did was ok and it does look tidier than it did but after we got home she was acting strange and cowering with her tail between her legs. We wondered what could be wrong then realised she had picked up fleas whilst in the groom room. I went back to the store the next morning and spoke to the Manager who seemed to think the fleas could have been on her before. NO. So after further discussion, he talked about good will etc. I explained that, I wasn’t expecting him to refund the grooming price of £26 but seeing as she didn’t have fleas yesterday and has them today and the only place she has been is the groom room, I felt that the ‘good will’ should be the items needed to rid my dog and my house of the new housemates. It was agreed and sorted.

Our Westie Rosie is always well looked after by Jess and all the staff. She looks lovely when we collect her even though she's not keen on going for a wash and brush up.

Absolutely brilliant! We took our 10 year old American Bulldog we recently adopted. She had a full groom and came out looking and smelling amazing. We were unsure of how she would be due to her being a rescue however they accomadated to her needs and were brilliant with her. I'm sure shes very much looking forward to another grooming. Despite being extremely all staff took time to be friendly and welcoming

We love taking Horace our Central Asian Shepherd here. He loves being pampered too. The staff have a soft spot for him too. They are all nice staff that work there. See you soon

We have used the groom room a few times now for a hand strip. Jen is really good with Harry and he doesn’t mind going there which is always a good sign! He leaves looking very smart :)

While waiting to go into the vet today I witnessed a little dog (think a Bichon) being treated in an appalling manner in the groomers. It was very obviously anxious and probably scared but was treated with anything but kindness. It was being forced to do things it was clearly worried about, had it's head pulled around by the fur, grabbed around the neck with both hands so the groomer could stare right in it's face to tell it to stop, held very tightly by the holding strap round it's neck, yelped a few times, was panting heavily, forced under the drier it was most definitely worried about and all the while I could tell the girl was getting more exasperated and taking it out on the dog! Where was the compassion and kindness, where was the understanding that this poor little thing was scared. We leave our dogs at groomers in the understanding they will be treated with gentleness and respect, there was certainly none today for that poor little thing and I am so glad I don't send my dogs there! If it wasn't for the fact I was there for a vet appointment and had to be somewhere straight after plus the worry the girl would get even more annoyed with the dog I would have said something and then waited for the owner to turn up!
