Harrow Good Chef

The food is great but the lady who serves is Racist. Do buy from here if black. I am now sick after eating there food. Customer service is abominable. Myself and a white lady was blatantly treated differently. The white lady saw the difference in treatment. DONT BUY IF YOU ARE SERVED BY LITTLE CHINESE LADY. VERY VERY RUDE.

Food arrived 45 minutes late. Staff hang up phone on you, had to go to restaurant to find out what was going on. Awful service. Will never go back

First but definitely the last visit to this place. The chicken chow-mein was noddles with pieces of chicken chucked in. King prawn fried rice was the worst I’ve had in a long while. Singapore fried rice wasn’t much better. Spare ribs weren’t that bad though. Overall, a 1 out of 10 score and virtually a rip-off experience.

After having a chinese favorite restaurant for years which now closed down, we discovered this lovely place! The roast duck and the beef in black bean sauce are absolutely amazing, the way we got used to. Happy that the tasty original recipes can still be enjoyed.

Lovely Chinese place. I ordered a Manchurian Chicken Chow Mein and a Fried Crispy Chilli Chicken. Both were delicious and piping hot when arrived. It did take ages to come but I think the restaurant was super busy so that shows it’s popular. Will definitely order from here again soon

The food is okay but nowhere as good as the 'real good chef' from several years ago. That chef learnt his trade from a high quality chef in China and the food was 4-5 stars. This chef was probably taught by the previous chef but maybe not as skilled. The prices are now too high vs quality so I don't go there anymore unless I'm too lazy to cook for myself.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS TAKEAWAY!!!Firstly the woman on the phone is rude (given her 3 chances!) - she must believe that there are no other Chinese takeaways to order from - clearly doesn’t care about our business as other reviews have also commented on her rudeness.The last time we ordered we received the wrong dish and again the rude woman on the phone blamed us. She basically said that we wouldn’t get our money back as we made the wrong order WHICH WAS INCORRECT!I am tired of entitled shop owners with really poor customer service and mediocre food quality, thinking they can treat their customers in this way and just keep getting repeat business.Please everyone, they do not deserve to have loyal and repeated customers when they don’t treat people well or present decent enough food amount and quality.We are all going through economic crisis BUT clearly they don’t feel they need our business as there is no care about treating customers well. Maybe if sales dipped, customer service and food quality will improve. It’s a shame but all of this has to be said!DONT BUY FROM THIS TAKEAWAY!

The receptionist who answers the phone was incredibly rude, unhelpful and hung up on me..simply because I asked her what meat and was in a couple of the dishes so I could select my order! It is not the first t time time woman has been rude. I don't know why the owners are continuing to employ her... I would fire her in the spot if she spoke this way to customers.I've stopped ordering from them as a result of this woman rudeness. This place was lovely when Kim used to own it.

I'm a regular customer and I've given a good review before, but honestly it's unacceptable sometimes the food comes fresh, sometimes it comes burnt and smelling like the food from the day before, I'm even afraid to eat because it comes with shrimp it can even be dangerous to health!! Very disappointed this is the third order that arrives in bad condition. I will stop ordering!!!!

Worse food ever! Have not used for a long time as moved. Food used to be good. Ordered duck in black bean, hoi pork and noodles, all dishes came with disgusting black sauce. Cost over £20. Called to complain, woman very rude. Will never use again.
