Did yet another MOT for one of my cars, polite staff , quick and efficient. Wouldn't use another test centre. 10 out of 10 ✅️

Booked my car in for mot, mot failed with work that needed completing to the value of over £800 pounds, I am not a mechanic but the work that was advised to me made me question it , as some Similar work had been carried out 1 month ago on my car and I thought My original garage may have seen these Additional problems went back to my original garage that Unfortunately, Were fully booked for MOT for two weeks) )and told them , they ask me to return car with the failed printout they recheck it and it passed the work that was advised did not need to be completed for the mot , am reporting John Charles to trading Standards be warned they are trying to complete unnecessary work

Love this place and would throughly reccomend. Last summer my little agila's brakes went (it was more than just brakes or pads before ppl say the price was extortionate) They had a look and called me to tell me the price. The lady I spoke was absolutely lovely as the price of the work was more than my car was worth she said she would leave it with me if I wanted the work done they would do it but they wouldn't be happy. I decided that with the other money I had recently spent fixing things that had gone wrong it wasn't worth the money. Upon calling the lady back and telling her my decision, she said she was glad I had made that choice because they would have felt bad taking more money than my car was worth.....What an amazing company putting the customer before their income!Thank you and I assure you, you will be seeing me again!

I have had my tyres changed here, a full service & mot done. I have also popped in a couple of times with no appointment made with cause of concern for my car, let me start by saying all staff in this business are very professional, helpful, kind and no exactly what they are doing. They charge reasonably with no rip off prices, explain everything in detail and give me every opportunity to have a look at my cars issues myself so i have a better understanding about what needed to be done. The 2 receptionists make this company entirely, both the man and lady are absolutely amazing. Cannot recommend this garage enough, the effort they put into their work and service is above and beyond. In my personal opinion anyone that has had an issue with them in the past is clearly a dougnut. If every garage was like John charles then the motor repair industry would have no issues. Thank you once again guys & i will see you soon for my tyre change.

Stay away. Had a poor experience. Sent my car in for an MOT last week. They failed the car at the MOT test. It appears that they fail most cars so as to create work to keep their pockets lined. Sadly, they were dishonest and raised two issues; both of which were not a concern for the dealer who passed the car on the day.I am £50 down but, smarter. Hope you will not lose your £50 for an MOT.Instead use an honest garage.

Have to give star to write a comment,Would not give any stars to this garage,As would not recommend this garage ….Booked a van in for gearing linkage, the linkage had been altered and was a made up part hence why still difficult to change gears,proper parts not used,but was charged proper money,This was pointed out by another garage,who said it was not a hard job to do properly,if they knew what to do,,,?So feel RIPPED OFF by John Charles Auto,,Will be getting some legal advice on this ,,Can’t wait to read there reply,,

Phil and Louise helped me out alot. I was working from the hospital and they enabled me to change my tyre and get a new one all on the same day. Quick, efficient and friendly service.

We recently took a work van in for potential clutch and gearbox problems. John Charles Auto’s diagnostics and checks were spot on and very thorough, leading to notable cost savings compared to other quotes that were misdiagnosed.The repairs were carried out very satisfactorily and the vehicle was back on the road quickly.We will continue to use this garage and would not hesitate to recommend them to others. I should also say that the customer care of everyone we dealt with could not have been better.

Quoted me £550 plus vat for a job i had done at a different garage for a total of £410 including vat. They also tried to charge me £80 just for inspecting" my vehicle because i decided his quote was too high. His view was he's paying a trained technician an hours work to look at my car to see what the problem was which is a fair point but one i have never experienced elsewhere. Ended up settling on paying half that price just to look at my car. That said
