We hired a holiday boat with ABC and collected here. Staff were very busy, kept smiling and tried to accommodate the surge of people arriving.We would have liked more time with boat handover in person but not sure that was possible. We would go again.

The staff at Gailey Marine are THE best. Thanks to these folks, our first experience on a narrowboat exceeded all expectations. We were thoroughly and kindly instructed in all aspects of operating the water craft, and the locks, then successfully completed our trip with confidence. Fabulous memories were created.

Our thanks to Dave, Ian and the team at Gailey, they were brilliant and very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and the Soar 'Idun' boat was clean and well equipped. Our only issues were the 'gangplank' was a very heavy wooden one, the wifi was v slow and the oven had to be lit with a match. None of that in any way affected our holiday, I'm just being 'picky'As first timers I was very worried but the training given by Ian was very good and he only left us when we were happy we could manage. To be honest I found the first 2 days very difficult but after that I got the hang of it.....almost! Am hoping to go again with the same boat next year.

Excellent all around ! Staff were excellent on arrival and gave us a step by step guide on how to use the boat and work the locks !

We've just had an amazing week on the waterways. We took out Wren which was ideal for me and my husband, we had previous experience of canal cruising about 11 years ago so didn't need any tuition.The boatyard staff were friendly and helpful if you had any questions. We were given a run though of what needed checking daily on the boat and that was it we were on our way. If you want a get away from it all holiday I would recommend Gailey Marine boats.

Just returned home a couple of days ago from a fabulous holiday on Lesser Kestrel hired from Gailey Marine Ltd at Gailey Wharf. What a great time! Friendly team on arrival gave us good advice, checked us in, showed us everything we needed to know. Lovely boat, superb week. We were 3 up but the boat could easily have taken 4 of us. Everything we needed was on board - I had good memories from my last canal boat holiday (about 40 years ago!), but boats have improved with modernisation over the years and the toilet and shower were much better than I had expected - and the heating was brilliant as we have just got to the chilly night period of the autumn. Thank you to you all for your part in making a much needed holiday so relaxing with all your advice - I keep flicking through the canal companion book you recommended I bought and reliving the week!
