I used George F. White to sell my late mother's retirement flat in Bedale. All staff were knowledgeable, helpful, always available and attentive to detail. I would recommend them to anyone looking to sell a property.

Not sure how to describe this estate agent. Perfectly lovely people I’m sure just not very good at their job. Registered an interest in a house, agreed to discuss an offer once viewings completed at an agreed time - they just forgot to tell me someone else had made an offer in between times, so I didn’t get to make my offer at all. Tried complaining - the reply felt like a fob off. Not helpful when it’s already so fraught trying to progress in today’s housing market. Had hoped for more and felt pretty upset and very disappointed.

Pathetic web site and I.T. Search ability.This is a company which seems to dwell in the long ago past.First intro to the web site is a series of photographs of staff with names and emails.How about some sales technique in there folks? How about boldly saying ‘ We Sell Property’How about providing a first page pic of the individual property you are selling without half the page being lost to graphics about the company. Arse about face to put it bluntly.No initiative, no competitive motivation, dull and hard to read and access.Go elsewhere until they reach the 21st century.Update . Posted in response to Company comment .If you search as I did for ‘property for sale in Snape, North Yorkshire’ then you are twenty seventh company from the top.Companies from Bury, Northwich, the West of England and the south and east of England are ahead of you. It took a while to find the property I had seen in your window in Bedale.Then I had a graphics strap with your company details covering a third of the screen.You are happy with your policy, presentation and success. Fine. I just moved on.And yet you are the local agents.

Terrible experience with this company. No empathy for their tenants and money motivated. Newcastle branch is atrocious. Bedale is fine particularly Alison. They wouldn't care less if you were made homeless...Very biased on the side of the landlord.

My purchase of a property in Bedale was recent and handled by Alison Kent at the Bedale office of George F White. The experience was good from beginning to end, even though this lady was working for the seller. The move for me involved being relocated to the other side of the country. The removal was over two days and carpets had to be fitted between keys released and my boxes arriving. Alison facilitated this process leasing between carpet fitters wanting entry and myself. The property previously had been a rental and initially I was in receipt of post for past occupiers. Some of this was important and others contained birthday greetings and money. Dropped off at the local office Alison kindly contacted the previous occupiers.
