A great little musuem based at an old RAF base used during WW2. Admission is free and the cafe serves good basic cafe food, with inside and outside seating. They have a Spitfire flight simulator which looked really good, but I didn't get a chance to try. Well worth a visit.

Very well presented information and historical facts. Entrance is by donation, and the two main aircraft are very well presented , the other exhibits show the dedication to which the museum volunteers go to in researching their history. The Spitfire cafe , attached to the museum, was also very well presented and a great place to get a bite and a drink without breaking the bank.

Definitely a worthwhile experience with some of the most iconic British legendary war planes! We were met and greeted by extraordinarily friendly staff members, one of which is a local veteran, who actually flew one of those planes... Great spot with two must go museums a couple of steps across each other.

I've lived in Deal for some years but never visited this attraction. It is very well presented by English Heritage and full of history. Particularly attractive to or those historians specialising in the Roman era in Britain. Richborough was originally by the sea, as becomes obvious from the top of the wooden structure. A must visit for visitors to the area.

Love the history of the items and planes inside. It’s small but can easily spend an hour or two inside, bonus that it’s free entry.

I work in the shop regularly as a volunteer and thus museum is simply amazing and FREE! It has a fabulous and very realistic Spitfire simulator and more recently the cockpit section of a Lancaster bomber which is also being equipped as a flight simulator. It's an incredible and historic asset to Thanet and a must-visit!

Great place for Spitfire and Hurricane enthusiasts and for anyone interested in air battles of WWII. The full size Spitfire and Hurricane alone are worth the visit but there's lots more to see. It's worth spending time looking at the details on display. The staff are cheerful, friendly and helpful.
