The Bartlewood Lodge Stonehouse
A pleasant eating place with a good carvery. The food was hot and well prepared. The ambience seemed it could be slightly improved...the entrance was very clogged with people just standing around,hence first impressions not so good. Would return as it is in a good situation with plenty of parking and 'relaxed seating'.

We decided to visit on Wednesday lunchtime, not having been here since before it was Crown carvery. We were all very impressed with the quality of the carvery and the friendly helpful staff. We will definitely be visiting again.

Paid for a carvery and they had turned heating lights of before we had even been up to select our food. Only meat left was beef which was very fatty and poor quality,not much choice of veg. The condiments had also been put away so had to ask for some cranberry. Was charged full price and wasn’t made aware when buying only one meat left.

Good level of service, nice food, friendly and helpful staff.Ideal for larger groups, they have plenty of seating.They do a decent carvery here.Service can be slow at times, but they do keep you informed.We've been here around 25+ times over the last 17 years. It's local for my wife's family, who have been coming here for over 25 years.Most visits have been spot on, good food and service, only occasional gripes, and they will usually sort those out if you speak to them.

We took out £40 with us and with that me and my partner both got a carvery and we both had two drinks. It is great value for the money you spend. We really enjoyed it. Would definitely recommend to family and friends looking for a simple meal. We sore a few burgers go by, definitely something worth trying they were massive and the Pizza's looked really good too!

Came here with my mum on a Friday lunch time. The food was SO good! We're both obsessed with a good carvery, and you blew us away. 2 clean plates. Absolutely beautiful! Staff were nice and friendly too. We'll definitely be returning.

Had Sunday carvery here today it was delicious, staff very friendly and helpful. Not rushed to move when finished eating allowed time for food to go down so we could then order special coffees.excellent definitely be back .

Booked for a table of eight,as soon as we arrived we was told we were late...not. no smiling face on the front of house staff same as the women cutting on the calvary was talking to a guy who regularly goes there he said it was hit and miss place so no doubt others have had better experiences here.The frozen veg had no flavour meat was well cooked the only plus. Only 1 bitter if you fancy something to wash it down.
