Poor, poor Room.Restaurant was decent and has been for years & staff are nice and helpful too.The ‘snug’ double room for 2 nights £298…decoration as pictured, exterior kitchen extractor fan running 24 hours a day was a constant noise throughout the night…although reception have never had a complaint…but house keeping new all about it….every single step on the stairs creaked, all the fire doors hinges squeaked jeeeez just carry out some maintenance!Bathroom had no extractor fan so you disappear into a fog of steam when you shower…the smallest bed ever as pictured…wasn’t worth £298 and as regular visitor to the area we’ll stick to other hotels down the road in future and just use the restaurants which as mentioned are always good along with the staff….glad to get home for a rest!

Had a meal in the restaurant and a couple of beers in the bar. The food was the best we have had for a while. Staff helpful and friendly. Prices are reasonable for the quality of food they serve. Would highly recommend. Had to wait dor a table so maybe book in advance but we'll worth the wait

We walked in for dinner. It was busy but they have a great system where they give you a buzzer to notify you when a table is ready. We were able to have a drink at the bar before moving through for dinner.Lots of choice and also an individual gluten free menu which was great. Very generous portions, good food and top service - we would definitely come back.

Great place to stay rooms are very clean and beds comfortable. Staff are all lovely. The food is fabulous and right in the middle of Aviemore. Extremely useful if travelling by train as it is opposite the railway station.

I had booked 2 rooms at this hotel for one night as part of a tour of Scotland, which included stays in 3 other hotels. The day prior to our stay, unprecedented weather was encountered in Scotland, which resulted in several fatalities in the local area, extreme flooding, trees and electrical pylons blown over the roads, roofs blown off buildings and a government warning against all

Attended for lunch, there was a 30min wait for a table but we were allowed to wait in lounge and received a buzz on the pad they give you to let you know it's ready. Food was delicious and reasonably priced.Myself and my partner took our young child with us and was great to see baby changing facilities in men's and ladies toilets.

I did not stay in the Cairngorm Hotel in Aviemore but they had a pub downstairs and I thought it was great and they served good drinks too. We visited here with family and it was nice to have a catch-up in a very nicely decorated pub. The business pints were a good price too!

Review of the restaurant:The overall experience at the restaurant was a mixed bag. The food, in general, was just okay. I started with the cured salmon, which unfortunately wasn't as fresh as I had hoped. However, the haddock and chips dish was highly disappointing; the fish lacked flavor, and the chips were far from being great.Regarding the service, I must say that the barman was quite rude. I placed my order at the bar, and instead of coming over to me to take it properly, he simply pointed from where he was standing. It would have been more courteous if he had walked the short distance to ask for my order directly. Throughout the interaction, he appeared disinterested and unenthusiastic about his job.On a positive note, the staff during the meal service were exceptional. I was part of a large party, and they handled everything brilliantly, earning a solid 10/10. Their attitude and attentiveness contributed to making the meal enjoyable despite the earlier hiccups.In conclusion, the restaurant had some areas that need improvement, such as the freshness of their ingredients and the attitude of certain staff members. However, the meal service staff shone brightly and ensured a pleasant dining experience for our party.
