Orsett Golf Course

Really good course in excellent condition early October. Staff helpful. Not overly long off yellow tees, but take a look back at the white competition tees - that's quite a difference.Clubhouse very good. Can't comment on catering as we couldn't stayI really enjoyed it, cost was £68 including buggy, so just over a couple of quid per hole visit this quality courseGive it a go !

It's a lovely place. Plenty of parking. Huge lockers and changing facilities. The gardens are pretty and outside seating is good. The people are friendly.The bar staff were great and the host Jill and Captain Steve gave us a lovely welcome. Thanks.

Fantastic condition, disgusting experience from staff and members, played here today and was told off by staff and members for playing off back tees, members jumping in front,Non members have to play off yellows, they’re 4 ball had the worst handicap of scratch and the members off 20 told them they weren’t allowed off back t’sPretty bad experience all round orsett !!!

My first visit to orsett ,what a great course a little bit of everything ,some of the holes I took photos ,I will be returning later in the year to see the course at its best green every where ,we had some brown grass which is expected due to the weather but overall a lovely club

Excellent course, great layout and incredible greens. Considering it was frozen in patches still super playable. Friendly pro shop and club house. Definitely worth a visit.

Course was in very good conditions. Need to stay out of rough. Some good opportunities to score with the wind; some to hang on to a score. Worth a visit.

I was given the opportunity to play this course by my old landlord as a guest and played it several times . It’s unique feature is the gorse and heather which encompasses the rough and like a hazard clumps are on fairways . There is a lovely picturesque par four in a valley which is the 6th or 7th? I don’t know if it’s the signature hole but it should be . The clubhouse is a very warm and welcoming place with good natured happy staff who put up with and look after the people who frequent it . A lovely place this . If you get a chance , visit it

The morning started at 9am and just 1 degree centigrade resulting in frozen greens but not one single tempoary one! For mid January this was amazing and within a couple of hours they were soft and receptive. Ther rest of the course was equally impressive only let down by one tee out of use but the tee mat was in good order and as a bonus it shaved almost 30 yards of the hole.The layout is a tough test for anyone and wild drives into the rough will be punished, I suspect even more so when the trees are full of leaves.The pro shop is stocked with a decent range of clothing and a small selection of clubs at typical prices.In summary, a very nice course, plenty of bunkers, no water and well worth a visit.
