Wight Phoenix Mobility Scooter Hire

steer clear of the the callous thief who pretends to hire mobility scooters. he supplies junk and is uncontactable to rectify. i was supplied with a duff battery that wouldnt even charge to 20% capacity after12 hrs. it was grudgingly replaced with a second duff battery. Wnen i said I wanted my money back he turned up at my carabvan park and harassed me to the point where i had a heart attack and had to leave in an ambulance., He then removed the scooter in my absence and messaged me stating he would issue a full refund once i returned charger and key. i duly left them at reception and he collected but no refund was made. This man is a charlatan a liar and a callous thief who exploits the disabled. Steer clear at all costs !!!!!

Absolute cowboys of a company!! The owner is an aggressive and rude person who threatened an elderly lady because he double booked scooters and demanded the scooter back early after already taking customers money. I would never in a lifetime recommend this waste of breath to anyone.

Booked a scooter online to be delivered st 10am, paid deposit, got order exceptance email.We travelled to our caravan on the Isle of Wight, got a text at 18.23 to say they had none available and would refund the deposit.I am now stuck at only visiting places were there is limited walking as my partner has MS and cant walk far. One spoilt holiday due this company.Avoid this company.

Hired a Pride Elite Plus scooter 4th May to 7th May. Scooter was in very poor and rusty condition and unreliable. have requested for my deposit to be returned and now in July am still waiting. This is a terrible company and should be avoided at all costs.

DO NOT HIRE FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!The service, the attitude and lack of empathy for disabled people is shocking!!!!!This company needs reporting to the trading standards!!! And shutting down!! I will be making a complaint to them regarding our experience.My mom Hired a mobility scooter from Wight phoenix Mobility the last week of July 2023 due to her taking an horrendous fall fracturing her thigh bone into many pieces 8 weeks previous.Instead of cancelling the holiday and missing out on a family vacation & all of the beautiful places to visit in the IOW, a mobility scooter was hired( my mom didn't read the previous poor reviews else she would not of touched this company!!)When the couple turned up at the house that we had hired, the female was very rude to us as we didn't answer the door quick enough, making out it was our fault that they couldn't find the house which we was staying in! the scooter was removed from the back of a car and quickly put together not showing us in detail how it all works.At the start of the week my mom started using the scooter, the battery was charged regularly at night time but after 10 minutes of using it the the light bar would drop down to 2 bars? Not giving my mom any confidence in using it, we visited Ventor botanical gardens, half way round the battery died and myself and 15 year old son had to push my mom in the mobility scooter back to my camper van in the pouring rain! Not happy!A phone call was made to the company sharing our concerns and the rude owner said it was down to the hilly conditions of the gardens, and basically fobbing us off, the gardens was mainly flat terrain!Carrying on our experience, my mom really didn't want to use the scooter due to the battery issues as she felt it was going to run out of battery & also using the scooter was embarrassing for her especially when we had to push her in it when the battery died, can you imagine the stares off the people that we were given! so luckily we took the wheel chair which we had use regular.As the week progressed we did try and use the scooter on smaller outings but again the battery was utter useless dying only after only 10 - 15 minutes of use, so we gave up in the end & finished ourdaily outings for the rest of the week using the wheel chair & didn't use the mobility scooter for the last 3 days of the 7 day hire.My mom made a phone call to the owners saying come collect it, again no customer service was given? She was told they would pick it on the Friday as they as they were busy!Not once did they ask us for an exchange scooter which should of been offered! to us , no customer service at all!!! Or any lack of understanding or empathy for our situation!!!!When the owner came to collect the scooter on the Friday, I did explain that the battery was useless and we had a poor experience with it, he told me he would get it tested and get back to me.Ive now left it over a week now but no contact from this company has been made back to us! so Ive called them today to get some answers, the rude owner stated that the scooter is working perfectly with no issues, obviously the scooter is working fine!!!!!!You've happy taking my moms money for a week's scooter hire !!!! Disgusting !!!!!!I tried again to explain our experience with the scooter and the owner just put the phone down on me!!!!!!!!!!! Just shows how professional this company is!!Rude- horrible man!!!!!So please take my advice and AVOID this company at all costs !!!!!It's a financial lesson learnt, do your homework people and read the reviews.

After reading some reviews I was apprehensive but when we arrived at Woodside lodge our lovely scooter was already delivered and waiting for us. Fully charged and ready to go.Thank you for much and if we visit the island again I’ll be sure to call on you for another scooter. Very much appreciative for your service, mum could not enjoy her holiday without a scooter.Thank you - Sarah

When the scooter eventually turned up (after 3 phone calls and no trace of paper work even though booked and paid for 7 months before)the man who delivered informed me I needed to pay more money for a deposit (this was the first time mentioned) which was fine and we did but only after him saying I was a liar about not receiving a proper receipt from them , only a credit card statement as proof of what we had already paid. The man was very rude , derogatory, aggressive and lacked basic human interaction skills and not an inch of good customer service of which I told him at the time . Me being firm and not rude I took pictures of the scooter for reference for when we dropped it off to prove it was in the same state ( duct tape holding bits together , scrapes and 2 holes in the battery ) . It was in working order and massively helped my disabled mother. I have received my deposit now and he was quite pleasant on the phone with which I was happily surprised, although his exact words (it took 3 texts and a phone call) were when I asked when would the deposit be paid were “I’ll PROBABLY get round to it later this afternoon “. I’m happy that the scooter lasted the week and that the deposit was received but the customer service was absolutely shocking and considering they most likely deal with older , disabled and vunerable customers, I would avoid them like the plague.

I contacted Wight Phoenix at short notice; the day before we arrived, and they delivered the wheelchairs to our hotel promptly the next day ready for our arrival. The hire cost and delivery cost were oth very reasonable. Would definitely recommend

Disgusting behaviour and service from this company. Scooter damaged and told to except it.Late arrival of scooter so lost 1 day then Trying to take scooter back a day before it should have, very aggressive swearing at a pensioner demanding key back vile man. All because he had another booking and he had no scooter to cover it . Absolute lack of care do not use this shambles company.
