Platinum Plumbers

We began using Platinum plumbers several years ago and, in that time, they have undertaken many jobs for us. We have always found the whole team to be professional, courteous, efficient and hard working. Rob is always clear about how much a job will cost before he begins work and immediately contacts us if any unexpected problems arise. They recently replaced our central heating system and as well as the exemplary plumbing they left our house in a clean and tidy state. We have recommended them to our friends and family.

We had our house fully replumbed and Rob was brilliant. He broke down the costs and gave us options we hadn't considered. His team were fantastic. Very hard working and enthusiastic. The job was completed for a good price and a very good timescale.

I can highly recommend Rob and his team from Platinum Plumbers following them installing a boiler for us last year. The job was completed to a high standard, with the team carrying out their work in a tidy and professional manner. Rob is clearly very experienced and went to great lengths to explain what was wrong with our previous boiler system, and the benefits of the new boiler. Have received 2 great services from Platinum Plumbers the last couple of weeks and both with transparent pricing. They first attended when I returned from holiday to no hot water or heating. They were quick to respond and Rob quickly arrange for an engineer to attended, the engineer gave me helpful information on how to avoid my issue in the future. Earlier this year we decided to renew our long neglected boiler and central heating system and were recommended to Rob at Platinum Plumbers who was able to provide a detailed quotation for the job. PP were able to fit in with our timescale and budget. Rob and his team arrived bang on time and finished the work exactly according to plan. Jack and Sam (Rob's team) were both very professional and friendly - A credit to Platinum Plumbers leaving everything clean and tidy every night. The work was completed on time and in budget - I would have no hesitation in recommending Platinum Plumbers to anyone looking for plumbing and heating services - quite simply a platinum service - Thanks Rob and your team.

The owner Rob appeared to be professional but not very honest about his charges. He was hired to investigate a toilet issue. He previously advised that it would take about an hour (2 hrs max). He was also asked to look at 2 other small issues on the day, which only took about 5 mins on each job. He completed looking at all the issues after spending 35 mins. He just needed to put things back together and clean up. He wanted to charge 3 hrs (1.5 hrs labour x2) because he brought someone with him on the day, who appeared to be an apprentice, as Rob had been teaching him how things were done, etc. (although they insisted that the other person was also a qualified plumber). Rob explained that it would have taken him 3 hours if he was working on his own, as the job had “significantly grown” when he was asked to look at 2 other small issues, which I found hilarious!Rob threatened to stop working and leave the job if the landlord didn’t agree to confirm that the full charges would be paid in writing. He eventually changed his mind and completed the job. A complaint was then sent to his wife/co-owner and she agreed to reduce the charges to 1.5 hrs of labour but denied any wrongdoings.

After making my staff work in Dickensian freezing office temperatures due to a faulty radiator, I asked Rob of Platinum Plumbers if he would take a look at it.Expecting Rob to say that it was really too small a job, I was so pleased with his eagerness and enthusiasm to come out and take a look.Arriving with his able apprentice Sam, Rob took the time and care to explain what the fault was likely to be and the options available to hopefully repair. This included the consequences that could occur if the simple repair option did not work.The upshot was that Rob got the radiator working within just a few minutes, but stayed to ensure that it was fully functioning.Rob is a professional, trustworthy and very knowledgeable heating engineer. I hope to have the opportunity of referring him to many others and have no hesitation in saying that you should do the same.Martin WilcoxDirector

I have used Platinum Plumbers on 2 properties since 2011. I have found them to be reliable, thorough and pleasant to deal with. As a landlord I have found their services indispensable.

These guys are the best! Absolutely first class workmanship, professional attitude and a great quality of finish! A company that really seems to care about the customer. We had a new boiler and radiators fitted and they did a fantastic job. The team were always on time, friendly and professional. Highly recommended!

Countless phone calls explaining issue with combi boiler over a 3 week period. Nobody ever calls back, after phoning them on a number of occasions.If they are not interested in supplying a new boiler or other work, then at least tell the customer, don’t leave customers hanging!!! Very poor customer service.Okay…..some good news to share as an update to my earlier review.I’ve since been contacted with an appointment date to visit, and the work completed as agreed. Rob has taken the time to apologise for the delay in getting back to me, and explained in detail why this occurred. The job undertaken was somewhat unusual so accept this was a factor. I would be quite happy to use platinum plumbers again though.
