awful accommodation would give no stars but got a free alarm clock in the form of loud drilling outside my room every morning.

You have contractors in your flat 24/7 with no, to little notice.

Unite Students for Castle Court I have found to be an overall excellent accommodation for Leicester DMU students to live while they attend DMU.Very well run, nice staff that are always friendly and helpful and the buildings and common areas are well maintained. There is security in place with cameras and locked entry and exit gates that can be opened via residents and or on-site team. Castle Court is very close to Leicester DMU as well as downtown Leicester.

Horrid accommodation, poorly furnished, prone to excessive and persistent mould buildup, consistent presence of an unpleasant and at times odious smell. And just generally dirty. Don’t bring women back here.

I picked up my son and I have to say its absolutely disgusting accomodation.Scaffolding everywhere since the beginning of the year - my son had a view of this scaffolding right outside his window. His view for the whole year. The accomodation building literally stinks, theres dust everywhere but they‘re happy to charge full rent. Avoid Avoid Avoid - i wouldnt let a stray dog stay here from what I just saw. I’m Angry that my son had to live in such conditions. He wont be next year thats for sure. Should be called ‘Mini-Beirut’.

Lived here last year and honestly cannot recommend, place is very outdated and unclean. My whole bathroom was a complete state on day one which required lots of cleaning for it to be somewhat functional. The room itself was dated and completely bare with little to no storage for anything. My room was also given to another student for the next year before I was even given the chance to rebook which thankfully has been a blessing in disguise. They also upped the price by a stupid amount which completely deterred me from booking again. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

In December last year (2022) staff including Team leaders could be seen clearly consuming alcohol in the office before there Christmas party. In the early hour’s the following morning, students were woken up by a loud noise an intoxicated staff member was attempting to drive one of Unites vehicles but hit a building then continued driving offsite.James McMillan the Regional General Manager confirmed by email that the member of staff had been intoxicated and stated the matter had been reported to the police. The police had not been informed about the incident.Unite students clearly think they are above the Law.

It's a bit of a dump and maintenance isn't great. They've changed the outside but the rooms are still claustrophobic mould harbours. You would think it was owned by a Tory Hedge fund, not a socialist union.

I wouldn't reccomend this place, the receptionists are very friendly, the location is also great, especially if you are a DMU student, but the actual maintenance team is very unhelpful. On check-in date, I noticed and reported at the reception that there are stains on the carpet (of what I assume is puke) and stains on the ceiling of the bathroom, as it has not been repainted nor cleaned, they never got back to me, so I reported that again a week later and told me to report that through the app, the next day they, my reports were showing as Completed" but they never actually solved my issue. The rooms are not all the same size too

Castle Court is where I stayed for my first year of uni and after living there for it, I gotta say that i overall I found my experience to be pretty alright for the majority but as with all things there were some negatives,To start with the positives, My room was absolutely fine and in a great condition from the moment I moved in which was great and whenever I needed to get something fixed maintenance would always be there to fix it within a day or so Which was great! In terms of the kitchen, I found that it lived up to its job, (granted there was some constant issues in terms of cleanliness but this was not because of Unite staff but more the other people in the flat) , when it came to dealing with these issues I found that the support from the team here was Great (especially Jack who went above and beyond to me with any problems I had, if your seeing this thanks again for all your help!) And overall my time here was great I made some friends who also lived there and also the location was pretty great as your on the doorstep of the city centre and DMU itself. Security was also very friendly and supportive in any concerns I had in the night! There was also plenty of events that went on during my stay Which was awesome to see!!Moving onto the negatives these are mainly nit picks. But the main negative I found was pricing as I was paying £139 a week for a premium on suite which was a fine room however I feel that the rooms desperately need modernizing in order for that price point to be worth it, alongside this I did have the odd silverfish problem but this was easy to handle and wasn't a major concern. My final thing was the works that were taking place throughout the year however this isn't really a complaint as I knew these were going to happen when I booked so it was more just an inconvenience with being woken up early on some occasions, other than that I can't really think of anything else about my experience that was negativeOverall if your looking for somewhere to stay with some friends or for a first experience I would recommend this place on the support team and location alone but for it to be truly worth it I think modernization of the rooms would be the best way forward to make the rent more worthwhile! Thanks again to the team here for the help you guys gave and I wish you all the best!!
