Barn Owl Centre

Just been today for the first time. Went for my girls birthday and she loved it. My girl and the Mrs held the birds and both want to go again.

What a fantastic Mother's Day treat, albeit much later as I took ages to book. This place really is a touch of magic. The owners rehabilitate traumatised birds and although the name, 'Barn Owl', suggests owls you'll find a plethora of birds of prey. What was truly magical was the experience, where you actually get to have the birds land on your arm rather than sitting in an auditorium watching the trainer from a distance. The guide, nice lady, was really open to questions, highly knowledgeable & it felt very easy to ask questions and chat to her. I had a wonderful day-unforgettable experience and although the birds have had some terrible experiences (thank you to some gross human beings) they are clearly really loved and taken care of to a very high standard. Think this was the best Mother's Day treat I've ever had and one that's going to be really hard to beat.

Was very different to what I remembered 20 years ago, but they have moved; I had an informative chat with Vince and very much look forward to their plans for the future.

Excellent photography day. Very well run and organised involving multiple flights of birds as well as static sessions. Good briefings, explanations and tuition when required.The while day is customised around getting as good as photos as possible of the various birds at the centre when welfare of the animals taking priority.Highly recommended.

An absolutely outstanding photography day experience. I learnt so much about the birds themselves, and how to take my wildlife photography to the next level. Everybody was so friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be back.

Amazing time had here! Learnt so much and so well explained. They're so passionate and shows. The birds take priority here and go by their timings so expect the schedule to drift a bit over.The birds all seem so happy and proved when they're free without wire or tag yet come back.Support this rescue centre and get booked up for the flying experience

If you are looking for a Zoo this is not the place for you. Such a great day out, If you are coming for a flying experience or a dedicated photography day you are in for a treat. Such a special place, with knowledgeable staff.
